It is better to go for Samusng galaxy S LCD which costs only 19,500 Rs in India.. Only difference is that Black has IPS display.

Someone please advise me..should I buy galaxy s vibrant (original) or optimus black... my main desire is to have good screen quality to play HD music videos with rich colors.. I had galaxy S before but its broke now but i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED it..so please advice..is this better or galaxy s? thank you very much.

Im sure that the major drawback inthis phone must be its poor quality camera as its lg history that their almost every phones camera shoots poor quality images, Otherwise feature wise this is an awsome phone plz gsmarea post its detail review sooon we r waiting

Answer for some of yall here.
ppi(pixel per inch) / dpi(dots per inch) both the are same thing. In display panel, resolution is the number of pixels / dots to form a picture. 720p in tv or youtube means 1280*720 (16:9) pixels / dots. pixel / dot usually (not all) have 3 colors red,green,blue and their combination is what fools our brain to see color for each dot.
iphone display has a high density, 326 ppi, 960*640 @ 3.5' . Nova display is just the regular density 480*800 @ 4'. dpi / ppi is tie with view distance, At 1 cm distance, you may find that iphone display is sharp than her counterparts, but a foot away it is less significant. It is apple way of brainwash yall to believe that dpi/ppi is important. if you check the resolution of monitor and tv, you will find that monitor has higher resolution with a smaller display because monitors are view at a closer distance while tv are a few feet from the sofa.
It is the brightness that nova is boasting. In monitor panel, contrast ratio can perhaps be the relevant measure for this. the brighter the display the better the images. Try tinker you monitor to a dimmer setting and you will find the display less desirable. My view(mine): LG is one of the big giant in making panels from tv to monitor, so their NOVA is just from their labs and i believe it should be worth a shot. However, their UI and programming code suck. Bad software design. lousy software efficiency. BUT, android is a standard platform based on Linux which uses a tree(maths) files hierarchy system. more than 80% of today's super(not those use at home) computer are running Linux.
This phone is supposedly to be cheaper than optimus x2. Therefore, it should not be drag into comparison with the most expensive counterparts. dont expect max features and this is meant to cost less.
Megapixel of camera warranty quality of image. It is just that more dots are being squeezed in to the capture image. Lens, GPU and post processing should be considered too.
Texas instrument is an American company that produces electronic goods. the OMAP chip in this phone is a single SYSTEM ON CHIP chip that does all the processing from instruction set of the CPU to H264 decoding in the GPU. its architecture is similar to most of the other phone. SAMSUNG produces chips to and their phone CPU are usually made by them. Tegra 2 is a ARM CPU with a geforce(check out desktop graphic card) GPU. The big player for chips in phones are ARM , Texas instrument and Qualcomm and they 3 are the standard(architecture, design pattern...... electronic geek design stuff) setters.

There is a review posted on telefonino.net for this phone.
As much as I could read from the review, the screen is great, but I don't believe it is really that much power efficient as they say. The reviewer wrote that it manages to get you through the day with one charge and thats it. I was expecting more, but this is only the first review, so we have to wait for some more.

if this phone manages to sneak into market b4 samsung galaxy sl with the right price tag of around 450$/20000 inr ...this would be an obvious choice.....
advantages over sgsl are:
1.slimmer design,better looks,light weight
2.led flash camera
3.512 mb ram(hopefully!!!)
4.wi-fi direct
disadvantages
1.gorilla glass display missing
2.radio missing
3.swype text input missing
4.just 2 gb internal memory(thats really poor)
although the disadvantages are not much ,but those r the features which people use evry day and the advantages cant be felt when used on real time basis.....
with the right price tag this phone could be a massive hit in the mid segnent........
hopefully the disadvantages are sorted b4 the release.....
suggestions and corrections are welcome.......
and pls review this phone for god sake...
it has been a month since ces and still no review
