> In reply to psphoa @ 2011-10-30 06:07 from IVCL - click to readYoure comparing a 3d technology resolution with a 2d technology resolution. Which part of the computing part i told you that you dont understand. Maybe all of it.

Let me explain how a 3d screen works. instead of running 1 graphic on 1 screen it is actually running 2 graphic in 1 screen. each graphic is running a seperate frequency which LG use their Nvidia Tegra 2 core to process it. Of course it will take some times compared to GS2. Why not compare it with G2X or O2X, that would be a fair game. let see if Samsung could run a 3d graphic with those processor. I bet they wouldnt even dare to try. Tesselation vs computing is different.

Nvidia is using software + software to make 1 software tesselation stage while exynos use hardware + Software to make 1 tesselation stage which is a waste of resources. Nvidia use the hardware for computing process thus it would make them process things faster.

> In reply to 5011 @ 2011-10-05 23:16 from PxtD - click to readHow can you know if this is not as fast/faster than Samsung Galaxy SII. This has twice as much ram as Optimus 2X, way newer/smoother os than in Optimus 2X and more powerfull chipset. So how can you know that this model is not as good as Samsung Galaxy SII?

> In reply to Rc_bdo @ 2011-10-07 09:06 from PUak - click to readYeah that is so true. Even Optimus 3D is faster than Galaxy SII. Optimus 3D might have just 1GHz dual-core. But it's the only phone having dual-channeling and dual-memory. Those two things shure boos the performace up. LG has claimed Optimus 3D having twice the performance compared to any other 1GHz dual-core phone out there. Can Galaxy SII beat twice the speed of Optimus 2X or Motorola Atrix. NO it can't. These people just come here with out information and claim Samsung Galaxy SII is the best.

> In reply to 5011 @ 2011-10-05 23:16 from PxtD - click to readExynos might have bigger number, but not any faster.

Youre comparing a GPU chip made by a wholesale manufacturer vs a GPU chip made by a corporate which is specialized in making GPU since the last 15 years.

Number is not everything, even 32 bit GPU can run a Windows XP, not to mention just a phone.

Which raise a question do you actually understand what the GPU used for?

The GPU is taking the job from the CPU to process graphic. In addition to Nvidia GPU they were not just processing graphic but also other logic calculation which would speed up CPU computing process.

I bet Exynos is talking about speed because all it could do is only maximizing its texelation capabilities, but who needs 12 times texelation on a 5 inch screen? a box is a box no matter how much you modify it.

So if youre saying Exynos is better, then my friend I feel sorry for you. Might as well saying Mac is better than a PC. But hey... if its true then NASA would have use Apple as their supercomputer instead of JAGUAR.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-10-02 19:54 from ssCr - click to readThe Exynos/ Cortex A-9 chip in the Galaxy S2 is much better than a Tegra250. Google it, look at the spec's.

I love my Optimus 2x, and I'd love to get this Optimus EX when it's available here, but nothing comes close to the performance of a Galaxy S2!

I bet this could be even better than Samsung Galaxy SII. Better built quality. Nova display(saves energy alot). When the Optimus 2X didn't loose much in speed while it had android 2.2, 512mb ram and 1GHz dual-core. This one has better android twice the ram and higher clocked nvidia tegra 2.
