killed in speeds which will be unnoticeable in real term is what i guess your referring to?
and what other things are you referring to? explain..
btw didnt expect the quads to be quicker in fact was surprised the new dual cores were not faster

yes specs on paper the phone looks awesome and totally agree if there is a phone to knock the s3 from top spot this phone is the most likely.. but specs on paper do not determine how well the phone actually performs and yes i do hope this phone lives up to its specs because i'll probably sell the s3 for this one.
6mths , 3mths 1mth.. basically as soon as ones technology is fixed and released it becomes dated and its inevitable that better specs will continue again samsung might announce an even higher spec'd phone in a months time.. whats your point?
everyone sees the benchmark pi of the new dual cores and think wow wow its better.. absolutely not the case.. again in day to day life the actual 'speeds' will be unnoticeable..
and thats what most dont get..ie sony fans.. having a quad core will not make the cpu in general run any quicker, but more efficient and powerful.. absolutely

i am really hoping for the best for LG, LG has always been the underdog and LG can't blame people for that due to the fact that they're left behind in updating their OS for their valued customers who believe in their products and i hope they won't do the same mistake to this baby coz this phone deserves LG's full attention and when it happens, LG will take home the crown of having the best android device ever for 2012.

Note 2 will be released in October but the Optimus G will be sometime this month, September... So technically, Optimus G will be released first even if the Note 2 was announced first and yet, Optimus G is still superior and will definitely be coz there's already a video on youtube about the first hands-on experience with this monster and it is super fast! no matter how fast the reviewer moved his finger and do the tasks, the phone kept up with everything and the transition compared to S3 and the Note 2 on IFA were all blown away by this. even the hands-on and VS video of the Xperia T vs S3, XT was faster on that video and loaded everything first than S3. just admit that its not always xmas for Samsung, in fact, Sony has better reputation in making electronic gadgets compared to Samsung. its just that Sammy was lucky enough to show their presence all these times because they make a lot of galaxy models which Sony and LG didn't do. now, Sony and LG are back in the league and Nokia too! it will be a great competition for these manufacturers, i hope Moto bounces back too. i still bet though that this Optimus G will be the reigning king of androids till Sony and Sammy makes another quad core with better specs than this. once Sony releases a quad krait device with adreno 320, Optimus G's reigning will be stopped and Sammy should upgrade to a better chip and better GPU coz S3 and Note 2 were killed in benchmarks and other things that you've expected quads to be better but Sammy failed. sorry...

so if the actual differences in speed between the quad and dual are non existent.. which sounds like the better option?

and even if they outdo the galaxy s3 guess what.. it was released 6 mths ago!.. and thats still a big IF.

Lg has changed its strategy from 4x HD.And there phones are really outstanding.Congrats LG.All of you gyus are waiting for this phone.But I will wait for lg 5 inch full hd display phone with 440 ppi! Hope it will posses more specialties.

LG, this could be your year! go for the gold! i love the newly announced devices from Sony but they're only dual core powered and i found Optimus G so i told myself that why not get a phone that has better specs than what Sony can offer? you powered up your Optimus G with quad S4 processor and Adreno 320 GPU when Sony only used dual core S4 and a GPU Adreno 225 where S3 and Note 2 can't keep up a battle with, what more with your Optimus G? LG, please make sure you won't fail us with your LIFE IS GOOD statement so keep this bad boy updated all the time once its released! again, goodluck! ^^

hopefully LG will release code to unlock this phone's bootloader and release JB ASAP as software is really does a matter of an awesome phone

This is a brilliant phone but i don't think that LG will ever be as popular as it once was because a lot of people have had bad experiences

LG might have learned from their previous mistake which is not being able to keep themselves up with software updates, once its fixed, then its a success for LG unlike using lower types of chipsets and all for a device, you can not do anything with it once a new phone is released with better specs, at least for the Optimus G, it only needs that software update but for the S3 and Note 2, they can not even keep up with Dual Core devices of Sony! Good job LG and well done too Sony! these companies should get the crown this year! ^^

I can not wait for this mobile device to come out and check it out live! I wanna give myself a treat this Xmas season and its also the time for my bday so I would like to get a new smartphone that can out perform any devices like the Galaxy S3, Note 2, Xperia's T, TX and V or the upcoming iPhone 5! I am considering to get the Note 2 but I think the new lineup from Sony can out perform the Note 2 and I am looking for something that can outdo whatever the Xperia phones can do and that is only by getting a device that has double the power of those bad boys and it is non other than the Optimus G! LG, congrats in advance and goodluck on this device that you will release but please, just make sure you will be updating your newly released devices like the 4x HD and this one with the upcoming OS Jellybean and I bet, you will be on top of your game! just make sure not to cross the line against Apple coz they will surely sue you. do not copy their designs coz you might pay them millions of dollars but in 5 cents denomination. lol (go LG!)

1. 1.5GHz quad core S4 Krait CPU is far better than Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz! Tegra 3 can not even come close to dual core S4 CPU! just look at the HTC One X against the new badboy Sony Xperia T, you may also wanna look at the Xperia TX and V and all the 3 aforementioned models from Sony blew Samsung S3 and Note 2 out of the water! So double the power of those dual cores from Sony will give this LG optimus G the best performance a mobile device can give this 2012 and maybe up to 2013!

2. This phone packs a 2100 MaH battery so its more than enough coz this phone has quad core S4 chipset which can definitely manage to control the battery life! The 4x HD failed in battery category coz Tegra 3 isn't that reliable in battery saving compared to the A15 chipset aka S4 that can outstand any other chipsets like the Exynos A9.

3. 13mp camera is enough said to outstand the 4x!

4. 2GB of RAM is showcased by the Optimus G and its only 1GB of RAM for the 4x HD so its too far from being laggy! ^^
