Hi guys, i updated my handset to kitkat only a week ago as i was confused whether to go for it or stay with jelly bean. But to say the least, i am more than satisfied with the update and i regret why i didn't upgrade earlier. There is not a single bug in this kitkat update and the phone works buttery smooth and the battery has increased about 15%. Infact the whole graphics and features have changed, this makes you feel like you have bought a new phone. Some of the benefits of kitkat are:
1. You can download more than 50 themes, 25 fonts, 10 keyboard themes
2. You can now check battery use in more detailed manner also the task manager is more advanced
3. More options in quick slide and newly built quick memo
4. Camera and battery results improved significantly
5. Double tap to lock now works if u install quick shortcut maker and ON the knock on setting also the led light functions if u ON the led setting in quick shortcut maker
6. Better user interface with unmatched graphics and new animations
7. More unused RAM around 1.01 gb due to better app management
Disadvantages : NONE
I truly recommend kitkat update to each and every one who are really in double mind like how i was for three months.
Hope my review was helpful. If any queries do let me know:

I am currently running Jelly Bean, but want to upgrade to Kit Kat as it is available OTA. However, i have read that after upgrading to KitKat the LED notification doesnt work for apps like Whatsapp, Gmail, Facebook etc. This is one feature i cant live without. Please some one advise if the LED notification works the same way on KitKat as on Jelly Bean. Many Thanks.

Anonym, 22 Oct 2014It's still an amazing phone but it's one that's increasingly harder to find in stores. This... moreThe vendor is too fast release new phone, so old phone is abandoned. I read Sony ia very fast, the Xperia Z3 is still in preorder, they are making Z4.
It's still an amazing phone but it's one that's increasingly harder to find in stores.
This is bad news for us, as manufacturers usually only make updates for phones which are still being sold in large quantities somewhere in the globe (they do it to make that old stock look more appealing to the costumer and thus generate revenue by selling those units). Samsung is notorious for this, they did it with most of their flagship S line.
Once the phone is no longer being sold then the manufacturer drops it, as it no longer makes more money from that (it's actually an added cost).
Nevertheless fear not! Because our phone is so much alike the Nexus 4, we will likely be privileged with 3rd-party ROMs (like CM) which will take advantage of Google's hard work in bringing Lollipop to the Nexus 4 and thus make a very stable and usable ROM for our devices.
