This cell phone is better than S3 definitely, but of course S4 will be better than this one, LG Optimus X4 is about the same as S3 but this one is better than both of them.

> In reply to shaqi @ 2012-11-20 04:42 from P@1G - click to readmatter of taste. S3 has larger screen but amoled, Optimus has IPS screen but bit smaller.
Also build quality is different in that both use plastic but the Optimus feels more solid. Both are around the same weight, optimus may be a tad heavier.
As far as performance Optimus and S3 are very close with the edge going to the G in some tests and the S in others. Both are very fast though.. after that just comes down to which software/camera/storage config you prefer better really.

This phone hardware is not users friendly.
.....battery non-replaceable,
also no SD card slot facilities for customers.
Samsung's product is still the best choice for the whole world.

> In reply to williamworlde @ 2012-11-19 06:57 from QP7h - click to readBetter deal perhaps, depends on what you can get it for. The Nexus 4 at its price is hard to beat, though the Optimus clearly isn't trying to beat it. I am not sure what it will cost straight up no contract, but I got mine for $140 with a 3 year contract.

Performance so far has been great.. no complaints at all. its fast fluid and responsive. Haven't noticed any bugs thus far at all, no force closes on apps, no freezing, no reboots.. nothing. I plan on rooting it though so who knows how it will respond.

Battery life is decent.. I dunno if its just my handset or not but I find the battery drains fairly quickly, but that said I am using live wallpaper and some special theming, so it could be draining faster because of this. I can go a full day on a charge and that is moderate to heavy usage of wifi/data etc.

Fyi, not everyone cares about a removable battery and sd slot.. how much storage do you need anyway?
I've filled my Opt G with some themes, maybe 50 apps, around 400 mp3s at 320kbps and brought all my photos and contacts etc from my old phone and I still have 20gb free. I doubt I will even fill that up in the next two years.
If you require more than 32gb in a phone than maybe just use a laptop..
