I have purchased the LG L3 E405 1 month ago and still exploring the capabilities and functions of the unit, one to consider the downfall of the battery life it lasted only for 36 hours using call and text. optimizing the use like GPRS,WIFI,Bluetooth,GPS it only lasted the most of 8 to 12 hours of use, music, videos and other apps. lasted only 20 hours. what i observe was the drop in battery comes with the package is only Li-ion 1500 mAh in which at the specs. was 1540 mAh. to enhance the unit need to get apps from google play and at smartworld from LG since it is free like the Battery Saver apps. for the music the sound effects was too flat get also application like equalizer and media management for the enhancement. but without this applications and functions the L3 E405 is very flat, one thing also the internal memory and RAM run short when need to add more applicaton, Is the LG L3 E405 applicable for upgrading ? without buying another unit. investing 7k is a big lost of money, as a consumer we want to satisfy the value of our money and for the unit purchased. But for the other applications and features it works smoothly the camera, videos, messaging, adobe and file viewing are okey. I'm comparing the unit with the unit i have which is a 6 years old SonyEricsson W810i puchased year 2006 one to consider the battery life lasted for 6 days, the quality of the sounds and videos are A+ and the GPRS. I hope LG can consider those who purchased the LG L3 E405 for upgrade. We are here to give support and feedbacks to LG. More Power to LG. thanks.

this phone has no notification lights. unlike other android phones that show different light colors for different applications such as green light for a new message and email, red light for low battery and any user defined color for other application, this one shows nothing. u won't no wen u av a new message or email if u don't check. d response also can b annoying too.

if you want to root this fone it is very easy. search for this in google: "oneclickrootcwm3.1.0.1-ec05" just plug the phone to your computer, open this program and run the .bat file. just wait for the rooting to finish. your phone will restart then so dont panic. finally you should see the superuser app there on your applications.

I bought this phone . . is a very fast phone but I have the idea of making the internal memory as sdcard it really sucks because I can't use apps with huge data anyone . . I've tried directory bind but it only works for Samsung phones and the micro sd naming is different from the one thee app recognises,_externalsd vs _ExternalSd as used by the phone in naming the memory card . . I use huge data,so I can't continue using this phone . but is a great phone anyway

I am quite disappointed in the E405. The Wifi signal drops intermittently, even if I am in the same room as the router. As a hotspot, the phone is useless. It takes forever to just load even picture elements in a webpage of my laptop when using my phone as a hotspot. I think the transceiver section is very poor. Also for improvement is the way the phone handles messages sent to either sim. The phone is not really dual-active sim in that at any given time, one sim is designated to place calls and texts. When I reply to a message sent to one sim and I designated the other one as the primary, it will send out thru that other sim. At least with the HTC Desire V, the phone gives a display choice of which sim to send the text message out of. Same goes for calls. You have to switch active sims around. With the HTC Desire V, you have a choice of which sim to place the call out of. I think the new lenovo dual sim phone also has this option.

If you're looking for a phone to act as a duel sim and are not using CDMA networks, this phone is great. I think the bad reviews are from people who expected a duel sim iphone5. I just need it for checking emails and reading books with the occasional net surf, and to make calls/text and not have to carry around both a work phone and a personal phone. If I want a camera, then i'll use a decent quality one and not stuff around with a phone one then have to get the images of my phone. What is the big deal with having to use an earphone for music??? You have to use one on an ipod and besides we don't really want you inflicting your taste in music on us anyway. I also suspect that the phone hanging is because of how much you've loaded on to it and how many concurrent apps are running. Try using it sensibly, as a phone and not as a high powered gaming computer. It was never meant to be a computer - it was meant to be a phone, and as a phone it does a terrific job.
