why is my lg optimus l7 always restarting? please answer.thank you..

L7 has awesome hardware platform (not dual-core, but it performs outstandigly), but its software/firmware realization really sucks. OS sometimes behaves really unstable, games are lagging, but even with stock ROM and latest offical JB, it beats Xperia J (biggest problem of any device from Sony Xperia series is their overfilled OS, dozens of useless apps and background proccesses which slowes the phone down > LG is not far from that conclusion).

I had Motorola Defy Mini as my first smartphone, now I got L7. Performance differences are unforeseeable. I am very satisfied with it and I would recommend this cheap device to any "big-screen Android" fan. You will not regret.

okay i got this phone for my main phone now so i gonna give a small quick review about spec and lag problem

first the cpu MSM 7227A is based on cortex a5 cpu but real world perfomance and benchmark suggest it was on par with the scorpion snapdragon s2 and a single cortex a9 (wow) but... if the rom is good and optimized enough..... like on xperia J for example

second ly the adreno 200 enhanced gpu is quite good do not confuse it with old adreno 200. The adreno 200 enhanced(ussually with tm mark) is overclocked/new design architecture. The perfomance is faster than the sgx 530@220mhz on omap 3630 that power lg optimus black it does even beat the old adreno 205 on xperia play with old gpu driver(gingerbread) and it's perfomance is near the overclocked sgx 531@300mhz on mediatek 6577.it's fillrate its same as the sgx 540 on hummingbird and ulp geforce in tegra 2,
The main drawback its texturing perfomance is half of the adreno 205(GL benchmark). If you confused about what i talking about just search on google... but overal the gpu is not to be laugh about,it surely will run 90% games on google play.

if that's the fact why LG optimus L7 lag in some aspect or maybe some games?

good question.... why? because LG sucks on making a good optimized firmware/rom with good perfomance and that's since the lg optimus X2 the world first dual core android phone come to this world.

first of all the stock ICS rom on lg optimus l7 is based on 4.0.3 its know for bad perfomance,if lg use 4.0.4 there will be a little lag problem and it will have a quite smooth perfomance

secondly LG does have a bad ram management on these stock rom,after few hours opening and closing application the phone become slow and more slower and even it crashing some games and kick me to the home screen but with a restart sure will cure the problem.

thirdly dont compare it with xperia J on term of perfomance,it beat lg optimus l7 on linpack(38 vs 25 LG L7) and even on vellamo(1000 vs 700 LG L7). Sony is optimizing the firmware on xperia J so it run smoothly and xperia J does run on 4.0.4 not on 4.0.3 like lg l7 do

how to cure the problem?

if you stay on ICS flash your phone to latest ICS update,root it and use supercharger or ram manager pro

or you just flash your phone to Jellybean the V20A give you a great perfomance while the V20B give you good score benchmark(same level with xperia J)(havent try it just read from XDA)

How is the battery life of this phone? Any one I just need to know I can't afford to charge every day.

good phone but for some reason it wont charge properly and its life doesn't stay a long time like its supposed to ? it will charge but then it stops and starts even if i don't touch it .. please help is it the battery or is it the phone connection because i have tried a lot of chargers ???

wow nice phone, i have one. I think this phone have a little lag when browsing but not so disturbing, play HD games with no lag. overall so good

Stop comparing this phone with other quad core phones,i have had it 6 months now and its brilliant,and if your opera mini has issues get opera mobile,it works better.
