I bought this phone 3 weeks ago and I must say I'm satisfied, the design fits well in-hand, it moves good, the battery life is good, there are a lot of apps (for Android 2.2 - Froyo)...If you're looking for an entry-level...this is the best choice atm, but don't just take my opinion, take it out for a spin, test it at your local phone dealer!

If you want to use apps such as android market and you have wifi access use this. Email to be honest is better accessed from your home computer.
