this phone is so BIG... And UGLY... bljak... i don't like it... pictures 640x480 ugly... It even doesn't have bluetooth! it's masive and VERY complicated menu and everything... The good thing is that it's camera rotating... And.. i don't know any good thing more... LG M4410 is better phone.... Even it's more stylish than this BIG BOX...

Got the phone not too long ago but realised those of as in Africa,pricisely Ghana can't download new tones from the net to our phones and i can't even locate the infrared on my phone.
pls help

I got my U8180 for my birthday a mounth ago and i cant find out how to put MP3 songs on my phone, ive looked everywere in my hand book but cant seem to find it.

please can someone help me!!!

Every time i try to connect to my mobile, there is a massage saying "Fail to connect to handset, please check the COM port and connect in idle screen. Due to multifunction, despite idle screen, it can be failed to connect". PLEASE HELP ME I M DESPERATE I HATE THE DEFAULT RINGTONES ON MY PHONE!!PLZZZ email me!!

hey, i got this phone a couple of months ago and i figured out how to do everything except transfer java applications onto my phone with the USB cable. Does anyone know any software or how i can transfer java apps onto my fone? if u do please email me at rollinondubzzz@hotmail.com

i had a u8330 but it Keep mucking up so i recently brought a u8180 and love it its so much better..

Alot more features

To change the caller id go to settings and go to send my number 2 and its will come on

I recently brought a LG U8180. I was please with what i paid for. The camera takes clear pics and the video camera is not bad. It took me a while to find out how to put mp3 songs onto it, but i finally found out. It has some really good features, i like the external screen and how big and clear the screenis inside. It takes a while to learn all the functions but it is a great phone all up.

This phone is really p ing me off wen we had our old comp i had no toruble connecting it to the pc. But now we hav a new comp it jst wont connect. Wil somebody plez help me on how 2 do this plez post it on this site thanks

Hi im Jayden Im 16 and i have had a Lg U8180 for about a year now and i don't really like it because infrared doesn't work i tried to send a photo of my aunties nokia 6101 to it and the phone agent thing came up but it took about a hour to try and send and it didn't work and if anyone wants to know how to hook your u8180 up to your computer with your usb cord this is how u do it ok- U plug the usb side into the computer the other side into the bottom of your phone then it will say found new hardware then u click a box will come up saying please insert a cd with software which is the lg phone agent program,and then once u have installed that the com port sets itself up then the computer should reconnze your phone then u click connect in the Lg ohone agent and all your images,audios,videos and voice recordings should come up then u can either transfer them of your phone on to your computer just copy and paste and u transfer stuff on to your phone cheers jayden......

i have this fone for over an year , an i could tell u that i`m not really impresed by it .. it first ..like all of u i was ..but u will soon se that u don`t like the memory space , irda doesen`t work , and the cam resolution is small .. my phone has a great battery (up to 6 days) signal pretty good ..but i want to change it ..consider taking a Nokia 6230i ..same price , better quallity

I've had this phone for 7 months now, and ever since the start, i could never get any infared connection working to receive or give info. To add to this problem, the phone manager keeps having errors everytime i connect and open up the contents folder. What is an error log? so i havent been able to upload anything for a while. But apart from that, im happy with this phone. i just wish it had more space...

Hi! I got this phone a little while ago, and I think it's great!
The only problem is, whenever somebody calls me, it always says "No Caller ID", even if the person is in my address book.
Does anybody know why this is, or know how to fix it?

Also, I have some friends who live in Africa. I am able to text them, but whenever they try to send me a message, they say that it doesnt go through. Can anyone help me with this?

i saw a secret test menus code of LG u8180 on the net,eventually i discovered on my phone that my phone IRDA was disable.little wonder i can't just send and receive files thru the infrared.can sb help me out

ATTENTION EVEYONE... I HAVE FIINALLY CONNECTED MY PHONE :D

here is how to do it ...

go into the LG phone manager - connect your mobile to the usb - clik connect- VIOLA! it worked for me like the 100th time but dont give up just keep trying the u just go into audip and drag any music into it you want...

but be careful there isnt much memory...:(

hey you said use you USB but that doesnt connect either .. well it does but then when i go into a program it says that it isnt connected and what is a COM port? and i still cant put music in it !!!!!! arrrggghhhh it is so annoying! Please email me on my sisters account... s2_melissa_s2@hotmail.com

problem with lg phone is infrared is very limerted? is just not worth the bother. use your usb..
