im thinking about buying this phone but i was wondering can u use it as an mp3 player, ie use the transflash card to put mp3's on and use it as a player with the phone closed?

Tried today _1GB_ Transflash
It works PERFECTLY.
I just have to do some more tests to fill the card up to its limit (tried only with 100Mb), but I am almost sure that there will be no problem at all.
I just don't understand why someone has to give misleading informations ('up to 512Mb') if he doesn't know the issue. Bah
However the phone is _really_ good, full of features and cheap. Just a bit dumpy, but black colour is nice.

I am having problems downloading java applications unto my phone. I have the GPRS service on my phone and anytime I try to download a java application it goes to initiating and never continues. Can anyone help me? I had the 8120 earlier but i never had this problem.

PLEASE HELP!thx for those who put their advice here,from them i got the idea how to transfer music to my phone.but when i try to do it again.a window pop up saying that"fail to connect,check COM port & connect to idle screen,due to the multifunction,despite idle screen it can be failed to connect" i had follow the same procedure and the COM port is the same one as the first time.i don't know what to do.could those nice guy please give me some advice.many thanks

I have 2 of this phone. A black & a silver. and like it's features, but i hv one issue with it. The signal keeps droping, but this could be due to the carrier. I got one of them exchanged just yesterday because it was freezing up on me. I want to buy more memory for it tho since 20mb is just a joke. filled up in 1 day from some friends tones and funt stuff. i am definetely buying some more mem and was looking to know what the maximum i can buy for it. I read someone saying 512mb. Is this info from a reliable source or it's from experience? i checked LG's web site and could not see this info there. thnx for helping me out. cheers

hi, my partner and i have just bought the LG U880. i am running windowx xp and am not a computer genius, ive tried every thing i can think of to try and transfer music and pics from my pc to my handset and i seem to be getting no where, it would be greatly appreciated if some one could tell me a solution, if you know one PLEASE email it to me, thanks!

this phones good as!! the only bad thing about it is its kinda chunky.. but its got a good camera, screen etc etc :)

i hav this fone and i was wonderin if u could put mp3's on a transflash card and transfer them 2 the fone. can someone plz tell me wat how the transflash card goes into the computer(if it can) plz email me the answer or post it on thnx alot and hope 2 hear from someone. I dont wanna buy a card for no reason.
