To synchronise your LG U880 you need to install all programs PLUS install the USB drive from your CD. I found if you do not install USB Drive it will not detect the phone.
Then simply run the synchronise program, then desktop manager. After that, simply copy and paste files from your folders to the phones folder.

I have the LG U880,I tried to download some music mp3 from my computer onto my LG U880 phone but it isnt working. I have the USB cable but i cant get it to work. I dont know whats wrong. Please, if anyone can help me to get it work, you will rock! =) Thanks

excellent phone... got if for £0 becasue i was due a updrade with 3.... best phone ever so much smaller than my old LG U8360 which was much thicker...

How do i minimise the mp3 player without stopping the music, every time i minimise it the music stops, and also can i close the screen without the music stopping??? Please help

Hi all,
I got one of this for Christmas, however it is purchased from Italy and has a mini USIM slot. Can I cut a normal USIM to make it fit in this phone?
Pleaseeeee write me, I am desperate:(

No idea when the next version is due but it appears to have a Motorola V3 style keypad, otherwise it looks much the same.

Ok well i now know that to play videos on the front screen you must have the headset plugged in which is kinda annoying but oh well. 1 final thing I do not know how to do though is how do you transfer .jar programs to the u880?? When syncing with my pc the software that came with it only allowes the access of pics, videos and sounds folders and you cannot copy .jar into them. So far the only way to install games i have found is by getting a friend to send them to me from his phone via bluetooth and installing them from the my bluetooth folder. Surely there is a way to get them from your pc. Any help would be great. Please email me or reply on here.

Sorry about my last post guys. The phone doesn't diplay ID3 tags at all. But it is capable of creating playlists so you can choose which songs you want. You can also control the playlist using the front keys.

This is regarding the MP3 player. You can create and save your own playlists. It displays the artist and the title. I just don't know if it displays all the ID3 tags because I only put in the artist and the title on all my MP3 files. The earphone that comes with it is just fine although the sound produced is 'bassy.' The free Altec Lansing headphone works just perfect. One thing that I think lacks is the equalizer function as well as play modes like random, repeat, etc.

Got this phone for $0 thru an upgrade of my 3 subscription. It came with a free Altec Lansing headphone and a 256MB Transflash memory. It already shut off suddenly a few times though. But I still think it's great overall. Will just observe and see what happens. BTW, the CD that came with the package is a small type and it contains all the drivers needed for PC connectivity.

I just bought this phone and love it. Could someone please tell me though how do I view videos on the front sub lcd????? I swear I did this at one stage and then was never able to again no matter what i pressed. Someone posted in this forum that it was possible to do so and I would really like to know. Thanks. David. Ok guys thinking of getting this phone. One question -how does the mp3 player rate? Does it organise the mp3s into Artist, Album, Genre etc? or you have topick them all up randomly from a folder using their titles?!
