I have a Rogers branded Xenon and it doesn't have GPS.

Also @Kevin, The favorites tab on the homescreen has up to 3 pages of 6 contacts, there are 3 dots at the bottom of the touchscreen that you can use to change pager.

I bought my son and I the Xenon in May 2009, at first we loved it, but witin a month or two they BOTH shut off spontaneously in the middle of texting, reading texts, doing things on line, etc. It happens more and more often. It happened about 5x this week so far and on Saturday it happened 4x in one day! Very frustrating. Going to AT&T this weekend to see what can be done. Other than that, it's a great phone.....

The Xenon DOEs have Voice-Activation.

Also, one more thing.. could be pro but i see as con.
The menu's and displays.. they're very clumped up. Or better said, because it's so organized, it seems cluttered. But that's a preference issue.

PS: To the guy with the shutdown issue, send it in for a warranty. That is a manufacture defect. I got two Xenon's and they work just perfectly fine.

Personal question, how is the scratch resistance of the Xenon screens? And where can I find some nice, thin plastic cover sheets for it?

This phone is actually not disappointing. For the most part, it's a great phone.

Pros: Very customizable in terms of favorites and contacts. The 3 homescreen menus are quite handy. The menu is very well organized into Communications, Multimedia, My Stuff (mostly for accessing miniSD), and Settings. The hardware used isn't so bad either. Great speakers and resoultion. And very WIDE range of usable formats (aka. mp3,mp4,wav,wma, etc.) ALSO, if the resolution is too bag and cannot display, it will at least play the sound for you (unlike other phones). Also, the scroll is just like an iPhone in that you can "throw" the menu and it keeps going.. sorta. Also, the OS is rather user friendly for the most part.

Cons: The QUERTY keyboard is the only way to flip the screen horizontal. However, during video playback, you can rotate as well. The SYMBOLS menu is really retarded as some are located on the FUNCkeys and the other half in the menu. NO VOICE activation. The lock feature is retarded cause you have to hit it twice to activate when display is turned off. The FAV contacts is limited to 6 people.

Overall, you'd be happy with this phone one way or another.

My review is based on LG Xenon vs. Samsung Solstice/Eternity.

Hi ! I just got my red LG Xenon today and couldn't be happier. The QWERTY keyboard is very easy to use and the touch screen is very sleek and slender. It is very easy to text now. The only thing I dont like is the lock and it can be sometimes confusing but other than that, its the best phone i've ever had. I switched from T-mobile to AT&T, and it might've been the best thing i've done. Thank you.

I just got myself a Xenon this week. I re-upped my AT&T contract having been month-to-month for a while with my old'n'busted Motorola Razor. Amazon Wireless made me an offer I couldn't refuse, and I picked up the Xenon for one shiny penny.

So far, I'm really enjoying the phone. I get just about all of the benefits of an iPhone, and I don't have to pay a $15/mo Cool Kid Tax for unlimited data. I've loaded up all of my contacts and ringtones, set up my work and home emails (using iMobileMail and GMail, respectively). My old Motorola H500 headset is synced up tight, and I've had no problems bouncing files around with my Bluetooth-equipped laptop. Just about everything I've tried to do has just plain worked, which I have to admit is better than I expected.

My wife was laughing at me earlier this week for being such a dork about my phone...now she is checking them out for herself and is peeved at me for getting the blue one that she likes so much. I found a site for us the LG Xenon owners http://www.LG-Xenon.com looking forward to see you there.

Great phone, except for it's capacity of 150 text message. You got to delete message by hand, it doesn't auto-delete older message when your inbox is full and when it's full, you can't receive anymore messages.
Also, the phone threaded conversation view crash the phone when you are seing about 140 msg with one person because of the lack of ram.

> In reply to rahul @ 2009-07-30 05:48 from q{qG - click to readThe thing about the ringtones is that it can be no longer than 15 seconds. I know it supports mp3 format, but not sure of anything else. hole that helps.
