I got my phone two days ago and i lo... moreJonathan, I've had this problem before on my Nokia N75, and the problem was that the addresses and settings for the MMS were incorrect. When I called AT&T to fix it, they told me different settings to use and it fixed it. Give that a shot and see if it helps. Chances are if phone and texting works, thats the problem. Goodluck
this is a phone, not your life.... if it breaks down, its probably your faul... not the makers

Why won't it allow me to send or recieve pic messaging??
I got my phone two days ago and i love it but it says "service unavailable" when i try and send a pic. And when i recieve a pic it says something like it couldn't retrieve it. Whats wrong?
TZ, 25 Jun 2009Also, to set an mp3 file as your ringtone, you have to cut it down to under 300kb. If you have... moreHi i wanto to know if the phone can cut down the music itself? Or did you do it on the computer?
I have a Rogers branded Xenon and it doesn't have GPS.
Also @Kevin, The favorites tab on the homescreen has up to 3 pages of 6 contacts, there are 3 dots at the bottom of the touchscreen that you can use to change pager.
I bought my son and I the Xenon in May 2009, at first we loved it, but witin a month or two they BOTH shut off spontaneously in the middle of texting, reading texts, doing things on line, etc. It happens more and more often. It happened about 5x this week so far and on Saturday it happened 4x in one day! Very frustrating. Going to AT&T this weekend to see what can be done. Other than that, it's a great phone.....
Kevin, 24 Aug 2009This phone is actually not disappointing. For the most part, it's a great phone.
Pros: Very... moreHAha sorry guys made a slight mistake.
The Xenon DOEs have Voice-Activation.
Also, one more thing.. could be pro but i see as con.
The menu's and displays.. they're very clumped up. Or better said, because it's so organized, it seems cluttered. But that's a preference issue.
PS: To the guy with the shutdown issue, send it in for a warranty. That is a manufacture defect. I got two Xenon's and they work just perfectly fine.
Personal question, how is the scratch resistance of the Xenon screens? And where can I find some nice, thin plastic cover sheets for it?
jeremy, 18 Aug 2009this phone is the worst phone ever eg. it turns off if you close it a little hard.OMG are you serious, it shuts down ? WTF.
it looks arlight but it sounds shiet
This phone is actually not disappointing. For the most part, it's a great phone.
Pros: Very customizable in terms of favorites and contacts. The 3 homescreen menus are quite handy. The menu is very well organized into Communications, Multimedia, My Stuff (mostly for accessing miniSD), and Settings. The hardware used isn't so bad either. Great speakers and resoultion. And very WIDE range of usable formats (aka. mp3,mp4,wav,wma, etc.) ALSO, if the resolution is too bag and cannot display, it will at least play the sound for you (unlike other phones). Also, the scroll is just like an iPhone in that you can "throw" the menu and it keeps going.. sorta. Also, the OS is rather user friendly for the most part.
Cons: The QUERTY keyboard is the only way to flip the screen horizontal. However, during video playback, you can rotate as well. The SYMBOLS menu is really retarded as some are located on the FUNCkeys and the other half in the menu. NO VOICE activation. The lock feature is retarded cause you have to hit it twice to activate when display is turned off. The FAV contacts is limited to 6 people.
Overall, you'd be happy with this phone one way or another.
My review is based on LG Xenon vs. Samsung Solstice/Eternity.
Hi ! I just got my red LG Xenon today and couldn't be happier. The QWERTY keyboard is very easy to use and the touch screen is very sleek and slender. It is very easy to text now. The only thing I dont like is the lock and it can be sometimes confusing but other than that, its the best phone i've ever had. I switched from T-mobile to AT&T, and it might've been the best thing i've done. Thank you.
