> In reply to TheMan @ 2013-01-23 09:00 from fqe$ - click to readIf it runs on Android it runs on Android, secondly what phone doesn't look like an iPhone? Your not saying Apple never tried to sue Samsung or LG over the design despite the fact that IPhone uses Samsung chipsets and LG digitization? It's a quad core so gamers/developers, depending on their stillsets shouldn't have problems

okay normally i don't say anything looks like an iPhone. But c'mon really??? I had to take a double look just to make sure it wasn't an iPhone. The entire front display looks like something straight from apple themselves. I know apple design of there phone is not originally theirs but this is just funny looking. Meizu copy a design of one of worst looking phones of all time. Congrats :D

It would be better if they went with Exynos their new chip has no support for games and developers.

@ Bart:
Really if the MX2 is actually quad-band GSM+ 3G then I think someone at Meizu's marketing department should really be losing their head right about now. Particularly at their Hong Kong store where they get visitors from all over the world it would just make more sense to publish the phone being quad-band if it really is. I was there, ready to buy, at the cashier counter ready to pay when I saw on the leaflet it was only dual-band GSM, apologized for changing my mind since they were all ready entering my information in the system, and walked out.
I still want one, but now I have a SG3 in my pocket. Meizu might just have to wait to release the MX3 to get my money now. This is a bigger shame than had if the phone had actually really only been dual-band!

Guys, it actually supports the same bands as the Meizu MX. So no worries about that.

It support various 3G bands, not just 2100. It works with all carriers in Thailand and they user different bands. So don't worry about using it outside China.

Played with this phone at the Meizu store in Hong Kong the other day, very impressed: excellent screen, snappy OS, good camera, great build quality and only 2999 HKD for the 16gb version while other similar spec'ed phones from Samsung and HTC are still 3800-4000+ HKD.
However, the deal breaker is not the battery (only 1800 maH but I can live with that), it's actually the fact that the phone only has 2 x GSM bands and 1 x 3G band. While you're in the store drooling over the demo models and very attractive price points its so easy to overlook this fact and I'm surprised nobody else on this board has mentioned it.
Its such a shame its not a world phone because I really wanted to buy one.

Beware of this phone, GSM ability is limited (Dualband only) and 3G is 2100 Mhz only!! Which means it is likely to not be able to work with your carrier
