Micromax quietly released the Canvas Power A96 in India. The low-end Android Jelly Bean smartphone is currently on sale in the manufacturer’s online store for Rs. 9900 ($160; €117).

The biggest highlight in the spec sheet of the Micromax Canvas Power A96 is its battery. The device is powered by a humongous 4,000mAh unit which is quoted to offer 450 hours of standby.

Battery aside, the smartphone’s specs are in line with its price tag. The handset features MTK 6582M chipset with 1.3GHz quad-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in memory (only 1.14GB is listed as available to the user), microSD card slot, and 5” TFT FWVGA display (480 x 854 pixels).

A 5MP camera with LED flash and 720p video recording capability is in charge of capturing memories. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS.
