This device (RT version) will not be a competition at all for android/apple due the software restrictions/limitations. I am very happy with my computers running windows 7, so maybe I will replace my hardware in three years time when windows 9 is released. Talking about productivity I prefer to wait until February/March when microsoft will release the office suite for android and iOS. However you cannot go wrong with the surface PRO version in case you are planning to buy a new system.

I looked at it today in Microstore. Bad screen resolution versus iPad retina, Surface is useless in portrait mode. The only thing I liked was the desktop mode with the file browser, Explorer, else such tablet is too heavy and having too low resolution for 10 inches for web surfing, the small text is fuzzy, too narrow on portrait mode to keep it for reading web. Way better the iPad retina for web surfing.

I think thisd is better ASUS VivoTab RT TF600TG 10,1" HD IPS, it has NVIDIA Tegra 3,64GB SSD,2x kamera 8 Megapixel and 2 megapixel,GPS,3G,WLAN,Keydock including extra battery,Windows 8 RT

Besides, people who take pictures with thier tablets look like an |d|ots...
get a real camera or a cell phone with a camera...dont start raising your tablet in the air like a crackhead trying to take pictures with a 10inch rectangle frame

For god sake peoples. This is the RT version only. So it's for light use. Go for the Pro version, i3,i5,or i7 surface can order from MS itself own website.
