I have recently got the xperia , at the beginning of the month and want to upgrade to ics however I have heard there are lots of problems with it , I am just wondering if they are gone or are still there , I am currently on gingerbread

why does the shutter always make sizzling noise before taking any pictures? it turns out that a lot of people who updated their android face the same issue. does anyone has any solution to fix this problem yet?

select installation tab in the window to get the download link from the stirage servers....

2. now download the frimware from the link

select the xperiapro frimware and download it...

3. Now open flashtool and drag and drop the frimware you downloaded file name shouls be with extension .ftf

4. Now switch off the phone and connect it to the system using usb cable with holding back button.

5. press ok in the falshtool... now your xperia pro is going to be falsh with the frimware you provided.

6. be patience it will take time to flash and load the frimware..

7. once all the falshing finished... wait for 5 more minutes till flashtool log to display disconnect the device and turn on.

8.now unlug your device and switch on the device....
Huuuuurrrrryyyyyy you have done it.... now your device is running with frimware provided

pls some1 help me how to upgrade Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pro MK16i phone to latest Official Android 4.0.4 FW 4.1.B.0.431. as we need to update it manually through flash tool.
am trying all the possibilities,but of no use.

Hey... finally i have updated my sony xperia pro in working condition with out any failuers....
1. Downlaod and install falshtool.
2. Drag and drop the latest frimware version.
3. Connect the switched off phone with holding the back button.
4. click ok.
5. finally phone gets updated...................
Thanks for the people in the group... because of only those reviews and hands on experience shared i can do it

I have updated my Xperia Pro mk16i to ICS from Sony PC Companion... But the thing is that after updating phone is contiously reboting ( only Sony logo with Xperia Animation Display).... Now my phone is bricked and i dont know what to do..... Some of the frineds helped how to root it to andriod 2.3 ginger bread but that too not working.... Please help me friends or else i have to throw this phone away..... with so many imaginations i brought this phone 3 months back from ebay.... Advanced thanks to all of you

I am an internet fan so I prefer non-touch QWERTY keyboard.

Let's face it, non of the so called "top mobiles" provide a non-touch QWERTY keyboard.

In my opinion,
The Motorola Droid 4 is Much better in spcs, as u can see,

But SE X pro would win for two reasons :
Price
Availability (not available in my country)

NOW, I will stick to my Nokia N79 till the next high performence QWERTY mobile is up :D

My Xperia Pro MK16i Qwerty keypad is Slovak Qwerty Keypad layout... But I update my firmware then it's Y and Z works reverse...Do you have any solution about that???

I owned a xperia mini pro. This phone (the pro) has the same hardware (only the camera and screen are better in specs).

I think that it is one of the best querty phones in the market. And cheap in Europe in costs 174€ good price for an 8mp phone with 3g and fast for a single core with android 4 (after the update).
