change ur msg ringing tone
1.go to control panel,
2. general,
3.ringtune manager
4.go to install
5.select the tone that required
6.& than get back to message account,
7.go to edit in message,
8.& preferences
9.select the tone that u have down loaded.
finish....

i have tried to fit a 4 gb and then a 2 gb sd micro but will not pick up either but will pick up a 256mb sd can someone please help me work this out .

I digged out my V60i last week and tried to charge it with one of my old charger in my office...sorry, it didn't work.
I still have many other Moto phones (in my collection) using such old type of charger plug, such as V600, E398 & A1000.
For most others, one alternative is to get an extra battery and battery charger (which are still widely available in HK). However, for A1000, there has never been a stand alone battery charger.
Last year Moto in HK had a campaign called Moto Wish, which was about a charity program.
My Moto wish this year is for Moto to:
1)Come out with some kind of adapter so I can re-use these great old phones.
2)Re-release these phones (perhaps with higher specs, but not really necessary as I'm still quite happy with them) with mini-USB charger plug.
Yes, Moto pioneered the use of mini-USB plug, including charging ability, before most everybody else.

Yes, as a matter of fact my A1000 also has quirky charging. It usually takes several on and off tries to get it charging. As you said, it is because of the old Moto connector. I have similar problems with my V635, although this is more of a problem with data cable being properly hooked. But interestly enough, not a single problem with my V60, which is by far the oldest. And they all use the same charger/connector. Good thing Moto changed to mini and micro USBs. I have never had a single issue with my V9 or L9.
You posed an interesting idea about reworking the charger type for our A1000s. I'm gonna do some snooping to find out if it can be done...

My phone A1000 has very poor reception. Most of the times everyone trying to reach me will find am unavailable. It also drops calls that am trying to make. Is there a way out.

It could take best part of half a year to know how it works, as many apps are available for this phone PDA.
I also have a Sony Ericsson P910i, that runs on the same operating system.

i'm using this phone for a while now ,, & i think its a bad phone ,,, its doesnt have a good cam ,,, no wirless connection , & in addition to all this its slow in loading pictures ....
the phone is not even worthy of being bought ... :(

Well, l have been using motorola A1000 since 2006 and is a unique and a slendid phone which every would like to use because of its unique functions and style.
