Was the phone exclusively manufactured for the Chinese other than the rest of the world? I 'd love to have one as I use the A1000 in addition to my Nokia 6070.

In fact i've come across so many gsm terminals/handy's but A1010 is the best of all in terms of quality, size and even the shape is killing me softly.
Please let me know the price.

agree woth kenneth,
i'm really a fond of having UIQ phones in my pocket and this phone is a bit on par with P990 if released. the 2mp camera, touchscreen, GPS and the form factor were it's keys to it's succession. but motorola refused to manufacture it. Motorola must realized that having repeated Razrs, Krzrs, Slvrs and Rizrs weren't help in making their good name in the mobile industry. moto must also do good in features and performance. now moto hs lost it's respect from the hard-core users and is beaten by SE as a smartphone maker. moto can do better if they wanted, but if not. years will passed and moto will be awfully outdated by the other giants.
Motorola please realize what the people says here!

I guess Motorola Engineers and designers are getting all these opinions. You have the best of the phones in the world but for sure you need to have some continuity and consistency in what you do. This phone together with A100 are some of the best phones that you produced, but its quite unfortunate that it was for a very short time. Can you do something about their production we surely need then back in the market.
