Any one know how much it costs?
Stand-by time is too short ranging from 24 to 48 hours without needing a re-charge.
I have this phone for about 4 months. 1: Design, you may have problem open the phone with your hand but you will get use to it. every time you take this phone out to make or answer a call, some one beside you will ask you what the hall is this. but i hate where have the micro SD card, ever time you want to transfer stuff from or to micro SD, you need to turn off the phone and take the battery out to get the micro SD out 2: Features, great picture with 1Gig memory, easy to transfer pic, wallpaper, ringtones, and MP3. with memory card and card reader to your PC. also i love card reader feature. 3: Performance, use it for Rogers network and i have no problem with it. my opinion don't download any file to it such fireware or themes and you will be fine. battery don't last too long if you play with the phone all the time, also you can not add expanded battery. over all as a phone i rate 8.5 out 10.
does anyone know how to load and play videos on the A1200? I keep getting the "does not recognize plug in screen! this as well as not being able to access internet browser, also mms messaging. It does support 850, it is a nice size, i give it 2 thumbs up for that, seems to be a waste of time for north amercian users though. Plus no EDGE,
just want to know a few thing before buying this phone...
Can I use it with out the pencil thing?
How does the battery life go?
Can it stand a fall?
Is the software for the linux based system easy to get?
Is this fone suitable for youth who use use it for making many calls and chatting on fone a lot????

motorola is upgrading Ming.... just check out - http://search.motorola.com/que...qt=moto+ming
They are adding Edge & The new Ming's memmory can be expanded by 2 GB...
Check it out...
I have had the phone for a a week now and its great. Factory recommends 1 gig card max but is anybody using a 2 gig memory card and have they had any problems?
does anyone know if moto intend to update the ming to bring it into 2007? adding EDGE to a phone that is over a year old doesn't really allow it to compete with the latest phones out there.
for example, its technical specs look ancient when compared to the likes of SE K810 or Nokia n95 or apple iphone.
I really like the design of this phone, but its dated features and poor UI discourage me from buying it.
i would ideally like this phone to have a better camera, better music player, better UI and the ability to download additional 3rd party software - this is almost impossible for this linux based phone.

The A1200 could only go up to a 2GB expansion. Its been confirmed by motorola.

Well it is an excellent phone which gives great speed. However once i bought it i found it is of no use to me. It is not compatible with microsoft exchange server and i cannot get my corporate emails on this phone. i spent such a handsome amount to buy this phone and was shocked to hear many cheaper phones are able to do what this beauty cannot.
Hey people ! i found out that theres 3 different types of Motorola a1200. Theres the original A1200, An A1200i, and A1200r. I looked at my box and my says A1200r. So maybe thats why everybody has different problems and different ways of using there phone. But my phone came with a 128mb of extra memory, i heard and read here that some people get a 512mb in the box. But now I got a problem I bought a 1gb micro sd card and my A1200 dont recognize it! Some people say it works up to a 2gb memory. So if anybody can help me out or if everybody can check there A1200 model let everyone know whats going on and whats the difference! a1200 really looks good n i want to use touch screen with good quality music plz suggest me whether to buy this r to go for nokia 6700 r some other phone plz do suggest me
Hi, this phone is fantastic. Business Card reader function is very good. The Flap feature is the very good as well as bad. Good in a sense that it protects TFT screen from various scratches. Bad in a sense that its speaker is in flap connected through hair line wires. so if flap gets damaged or hurt then gone case. but very good one.
One very bad thing about Motorola i have noticed is the quality head phone which they provide. The head phone given is the same one which is with its low cost range mobiles. No improved version of head phones with high cost segments. which is not in Nokia or SonyEricsson. Headphone comfort is pathetic.
