ia the worst phone that i ever had.
i change it for a galaxy sII and before defy+ i used to use blackberry torch 9800 that is the same sh*t.
sometimes defy+ gets frezeen and turned off automatic so i decided to sell it.
well someinteresting is the camera but is very very low speed taking pics
when u wants to take a pic it take about 5seconds :s

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-02-15 17:37 from u1J5 - click to readThis does not surprise me at all. The Defy plus has some real niggling issues with software that Motorola have not bothered to sort out since the original Defy was released.
They would rather release new phones without dedicating themselves to sorting out existing ones, so the lack of update is just no surprise. I love my defy plus, but this is my last motorola.

> In reply to sag352 @ 2012-02-13 16:35 from U{4j - click to readDefy+ is far better than Ace. Dont compare junk Ace mobile (278 MB Ram, 150MB internal memory, 1350 mAh battery and poor display) with decent Defy+ (512 MB RAM, 2GB internal memory, 1700 mAh battery, decent display and great IP 67 certificate (dust and water proof))

Itz jst that u need not to set-up the whole thing again to u're handset after FDR or a Software crash. If u dnt like MotoBlur, go and buy a creep handset from Market.
Luv Moto for Motoblur.

Motorola wrote this not me .....
"All contacts, log-in information, home screen customizations, e-mail and social network messages are backed up on the MOTOBLUR secure server."
I say no thanks.

> In reply to MotoMan @ 2012-02-12 10:17 from s8Ev - click to readI also enjoy MOTOBLUR! Also, the menus are so simplistic, exactly like Android was suposed to be initialy the ideea from google. Now there are kinds of stupid customization to manues on the Google Market and all have bugs and eat up speed on any phone , no matter is Samsung, Sony-Ericsson, etc.
MOTOBLUR is very fast and simplistic. And very intuitive menus. It has integreted direct shortcut in the menu for Google Market, it has all kinds of simple customization for recently installed app, recently accesesd, used, etc.
And very good if you lose your phone or if its stollen!
I just love MOTOBLUR! It DOESN'T NOT AT ALL collecting personal info, only the initial setup which you anyway would make for Google, and all of you are actually doing it on any phone!
Thank for the guys at Motorola who stay day and night at work to program this nice software in the same price of the phone!

> In reply to Cowz @ 2012-02-12 05:58 from vxKC - click to readI Don't agree with u at all. Motoblur is a distict feature invented by Motorola. U can track the handset, backup the data, Wipe Data and alot we can do online just because of Motoblur.
And I wann'a make u correct that Motoblur does not backup or sync contacts or messages. Thatz true that u need to set up Motoblur A/c to use the handset but thats not a big deal.
I dnt understand how Motorola is making money with u're contacts. Motoblur is a distinct feature for our use only. If u hate this feature this much than it would be vetter for u to go for Motorola Defy, cos it does not have Motoblur and with most similliar spec's.
I love Moto Defy+ and Motoblur. One can do a lot with it.
Thanks and love u Moto to introduce us with such a grt feature!!!!!!!!!!!

> In reply to PRIDE @ 2012-02-05 14:15 from HKDL - click to readI could give you a huge list of faults in the Motoblur UI, widgets and apps on the phone which means you are better off replacing almost all of it anyway.
There are many features that you get by only setting up a Motoblur account. The Motoblur principal of not giving you full functionality unless you agree to let them have your personal information which they then track, aggregate with other data and use the information to generate profit (same as Google) with little user disclosure, I think is unethical (but then everyone on here has a facebook account so they probably don't care about that).
Even the manual makes it sound like you have to create a Motoblur account and that is unethical.
Considering I have things backed up through other means I don't want Motorola to hold my contacts and messages. Imagine you lose your phone overseas and go to an Internet cafe and log into your Motorola account to remove your phone data so it can't be stolen ... your Motoblur password then gets key logged and you lose much more (including the data that would have been on your phone anyway).
IMO Motoblur offers little in good functionality. It's just an additional security risk. It's just an additional intrusion on your life.
I own a Defy+ because I like the hardware. I don't use Motoblur widgets and I don't have a Motoblur account. My screens have been personalised and look beautiful. The customised UI and software is now functional and productive for my needs.
