Another problem I am facing is that the phone comes with adobe flash player 10.3.
There is no option to update it to 11.
I have to manually search for the app on the marketplace and update it from there.
Once I have updated flash player to 11, it will revert back to 10.3 everytime the phone is rebooted :(
Friends can u sujest which is best motorola defy+, samsung ace or sony ericsson live with walkman..??
Can anyone tell me anyanother phone from samsung or sony which has the same dimentions as this phone. i bought this phone and could not find pouch from local shops.

Also I recommend you read this review: http://www.stuff-review.com/20...plus-review/
An annoying bug/issue I have found with this phone, as well as the original defy is the fact that the auto brightness will only brighten but wont go dim again until you put the phone in standby and switching the screen on again. Also the screen lock when put in pocket doesn't work.
Anonymous, 31 Dec 2011Hi, i dont have the defy + nor the JCB edition, In fact I wanted to ask you if there is someth... moreI cant find that app on the market place, nor can I find it via googling.
Also, when you use the app, it gives you an option to set a new JCB wallpaper for the home screen.
The only other diference, is that there is a 24 month warranty instead of the standerd 12 month one.

Arvind, 27 Dec 2011Hello, I am confused whether I can buy Defy+ or LG Optimus black p970 if you need firnt cam. so go for LG
if you need a best phone then go for moto bcos this is very fast and good battery.
i am very happy with Defy+,it has a very good battery backup and i like the motoblur function.
A question for those who have the JCB edition of the phone.
It has an app called the 'jcb toolbox'. Now this app is under the installed programs and it appears that it can be uninstalled.
My question is, has anyone uninstalled this app and has it returned after a factory reset ?

I voted this phone 10 for Design, 10 for Features and 10 for Performance.
Just recieved mine in the post today and been using it properly and setting things up for the oast hour or so.
Two really great things that stand out for me is the fact that the ohone is so light (hardly any weight at all) !
The second thing is the loudspeaker quality in both in call and playing mp3's.

Arvind, 27 Dec 2011Hello, I am confused whether I can buy Defy+ or LG Optimus black p970 pls dont go for LG
Been using this phone for a couple of months now and thought i post my opinion about it.
I work as a miner for a living so i needed a phone that can withstand the harsh conditions found on a minesite and the motorola defy+ seemed like a good choice.
I find the build quality very solid. The phone is light and feels great in the hand, it gives you the impression that it can withstand fair bit of abuse and it can. I've knocked it around, dropped it a few times, its been used in extremely wet, humid and dusty conditions and weathered it all very well. A simple wipe with a cloth has it coming up clean and ready to go again.
With the latest update from motorols the defy+ is running gingerbread 2.3.6 and for the most part it performs very well although there are times when it does lag for some reason. Navigating and using the phone is a fairly smooth experience and suffices for everyday use. The only issue i have is i seem to have trouble texting on this phone although i mainly put this down to having moved from a larger 4" screen to the smaller 3.7" found on this handset. Txting in landscape mode is a bit of a pain too as motorola have placed the spacebar off to the right side of the screen for some reason. However this could probably be fixed with a replacement keyboard.
Cell reception is literally the best i've ever had from a mobile phone in my current location. Most phones i've used in the past usually sat at around 2-3 bars where as the defy+ is consistantly at 4-5. Call quality is great too, motorolas crystal talk technology really shines. The speaker is quite loud, one of the loudest i've heard from a smartphone. Voices come thru loud and clear and music playback is great too.
The 5MP camera takes ok pictures. Image quality is not that great but its good enough for sharing on facebook or printing small photos. Shutter times are not amazing but i find them surprisingly quick for a device of this kind and faster than other mid ranged phones that i've used.
Lastly battery life is really good. This is the best i've ever had from an android handset. I'm a moderate user and i get 2 days between charges.
So if you're looking for a tough reliable smartphone with good battery life then you wont go wrong with the motorols defy+.
