Can anyone tell me if this phone has some sort of visual indication of missed calls/messages when the screen is locked? Alternatively, does an application like Remind Me work on this?

it's true that the rooting method was posted there but the solution for all firmwares to be rooted was released on droidevelopers.com !!!

Actually, it is good to do that procedure few times during first month of usage. If you did't done it at least 2 times, do it ASAP, otherwise, batterylife can be reduced a lot.

Also, batterylife depends on phone usage. If you use your phone a lot, it will drain more battery, when I don't use mine too much, battery can even last up to 3 days for me! It all depends on you...

on my motorola battery life is ver short about 24 hours :/ how about you?? is this normal

Love this phone,had it a few weeks,great music player,and radio,and wi-fi,..front back cameras,good for skyping,picture quality surprisingly good for 3mp fixed focus,battery life great,med/heavy use internet/wifi,..2 days,.solid reliable phone,..
Cant wait for root, be even better!! :)

I followed procedure, but, as I read on XDA, TinBoost v6.0 (unfortunatley mine has v6.0) cannot be rooted...

Android: 2.3.6. Gingerbread
Kernel: 2.6.38.6+
Buildsrv: buildsrv@lxdex2 #1
Version: 0A.1F.3A
Flex: WE_Retail_CEE_v5_0524_FLEXTNBST
Mainrange ver: 76XXU-USMEKOLYM-109806-7499
Software: TNBST_4_0A.1F.3ARPS

Anyone got the same problem? Some guys suggested me a firmware flashing but I am apsolutely shure that rooting can be done without that. Any ideas?

Using bulidin camera app, download silent camera app it won't make sound...

Its working good...
