Don't believe in the rating of the phone here, sometime can be very biased. Oftenly you bought the phone very good rating but not really true. Test out the phone yourself is the best way. I am quite puzzled motorola phones usually got high rating here but it's really not user friendly, poor camera, etc..

If you can wait, go for the Nokia N93 with 3 megapixel with 3 X optical zoom, wifi, etc..
Even the current N70 can beat all the motorola phones in term of the functions and camera quality...

If you want a good camera, video phone and user friendly phone, once for all better go for nokia phone even you need pay a bit more.

I have been giving motorola many chances, forcing myself to like and use the phones but ended up back to nokia phones.

This E1070 is worst than V3X (already quite bad). When you take photos or video, you can only see half screen on the display which I do not know why they design such thing.

Though I'm not a die hard fan of nokia but the fact is that nokia phones are really good and followed by sonyericsson.

I suggest that you try out the phone if possible before you buy it if only it's very cheap. No point waste your money if expensive.

Anyone has problem with the camera of E1070? I have read review commenting that the photo and video quality of it is bad. Is that true?

Can the phone record more than 10 minutes video rather like other models like V3i, or V3x, which can record a max of 10 mins only of video?

yah u can take self potrait with V3, V3i without opening the flip

yeah... its a great phone. i thought the camera problem was only in my phone. i see that is not, but i this is the best motorola phone.

uhmm can anyone tell me if you can use the secondary vga cam to take photos so i can see my self when taking photos?? pleaase?? so i can finally decide which phone to buy.. im thinking about the rzrv3i and e1070! the only reason why i thought of buying this is because i read in one of the opinions that i could actually use the external screen to take selfportraits while the phone is closed? (clamshell mode) is it true?? can an actual user please tell me that thnaks ciao!

I bought the phone and took it back for three times because the camera doesn't work as it should.Otherwise the phone is great and if you want to get it do it.The camera makes great pictures but the problem makes me wanna throw it throu the window.

i have been using this phone for 2 weeks and i've found many disadvantages already.
I can send photos to my mac and my pc using bluetooth but i can't send pics or mp3 back to the phone..
I have the usb cable but i have no cd. I've tryed to syncronize it with both my computers but i had no sucess.
About the camera, it is much better then the preview given here, but it is repetedly getting bugs. Sometimes it says that the capture have failed, some other times it saves the photos but they get corrupted...
The phone is great, but sometimes it pisses me off!!

I like that mobile in general what bothers me is it size, weight and it hasnt got time when miss call was. I want to know how to take longer video shot and not just 30 second, if anyone knows that I would appreciate very much!! thanks

After solving the problems with GPRS connection (was not phone fault but TIM - italian operator) I must complain about some software problems. Sometimes (not regulary) I cannot see what numbers are behind the "missed calls". I press "received calls" and the phone comes back to the normal screen. And a few days ago I had a few "received calls" on the list.

does the phone have a battery and a back cover or the battery is molded with the cover?????? does the razor's charger work on this e1070? or is thier another phone that uses the same charger???

it's very genuis it's a perfect cellular phone but there's one things the memory for sms inbox is very limited but without doubt there's a solution please help me how to set the memory for sms into a shared memory in a place of a sim card memory and thank you

Let me add also that the fact that Motorola does not allow to download user manual (I have the italian one, but I speak italian only a little) neither any application to communicate with the telephone via USB... Well, I think next time I'll come back to Nokia, even if at this moment Motorola was a solution cheaper than any Nokia (I needed bluetooth and EDGE or UMTS).

I have bought it a couple of weeks ago to have GPRS modem connected to laptop via bluetooth. I live in Rome. Well... it works, but in the capital city of Italy I rarely get GPRS signal! This is a shame. Shame on TIM which is I think part of telecom italia. My phone is partly useless because of it.
Anybody knows if there exists a (micro) usb headphones which would work with this phone? I'm not sure if I like the idea of spending 100 euros on Bluetooth headphones.

u can capture self-portrait picture when ur phone is not open....just activate the camera mode n close the cover of the phone.
the mirror function is 2 reflect ur position from left to right vice versa...the phone come with a CD with software which allowed u 2 transfer files....using the USB cable to transfer files which come together with the phone.

I've bought it yesterday by 45 USD in Spain. The Camera is not as bad as it is said. it brings a card of 64 MB + 64 MB of the phone. Also it brings stereo free-hands and data-cord. Somebody knows if it is possible to make photos without opening the phone?, using the external screen? In camera menu in option->camera settings->mirror on/off, what it means?¿ Where i can download the software to connect it to pc?
