Samsung Electronics launches a 2-megapixel phone (SPH-V5100) with 2x optical zoom, the company announced last Tuesday. SPH-V5100 is enabled with auto focus which presents clear photo image.
First phone with optical zoom is Samsung. Samsung 5.2 Megapixel Anycall Phone with Optical Zoom.

That's right.
There are no phones with optical zoom yet.
A digital zoom can be described as a form of cropping an image.

If it isn't optical zoom, it doesn't matter how much zoom a camera has. The resolution of the image will stay the same, no matter how much digital zoom it has. If you DL the photo from your camera to your PC, you can zoom in as much as you want, and the result will be the same.
And since this phone has no optical zoom, the answer to your question doesn't really matter.

Probably one of the most decent-looking clamshells by Moto. Nokia's left far behind in design again. Haha. But why again no infrared, I wonder? Still I'll probably buy it. Anybody knows when it's gonna emerge in Eastern Europe?:)

i hate when 12 yr/old kids start writing posts about phones that are not even on the market saying "rubbish, piece of junk, etc"
many users buy phones according to user opinions, and i think moderators of this site should be more carefull.
