hi, i've read all the previous comments about using you own mp3 song files asring tones... and i've tried it-and failed.. the problem i am having is that the songs i've put into the phone does not show up in the list of possible ring tones.. yet i can listen to them in the audio player

Hi I was considering getting this phone in the new year. Can someone please help me with some answers to my questions...
1) Does this phone store sent messages?
2) Does it support animated wallpapers/screensavers?
3) Can you set sperated message alert mp3 tones for individual contacts?

I currently have a SE 610i, would anyone recommend this phone to switch to?

Hi Sarvaten,

The question of the other moto K1 user is how can he set the ringtone.
As we all know, motorola is not user friendly so we have to really browse
& discover things ourselves. WHen you set the ringtone, you can't do that
by going to the music then option because its not there. What you have to do
is to follow the step by step instruction:

1. Have you seen the circle button which has 4 arrow keys? Now, go press the right
button. You'll see the ring style that you are using if its soft/loud/vibrate/silent etc.
2. If for example, you are using the style: soft, press the arrow key going down
so you can go to soft detail then press change for you to be able to change the ring tone.
3. You just have to scroll down & put it on your desired part if you want to change the message
alert tone, ring tone for line 1 or line 2 etc.
4. Any changes will be automatically saved.

Hope you understand it better :)

Ive had my phone for 6 months and I luv it! the mp3 player is really cool, it takes great pictures, using mp3's as ring tones is a lot of fun, and being able to use any pic I want as wallpaper is nice too... I havent experienced it being "slow". It looks nice, feels good when Im holding it.. I highly recommend it!! Oh yeah, and it sounds good when you are talkin to someone on the phone. speaker phone feature sounds really good too!

Hi aNDREW,

For you to be able to set the music as your ringtone, you have do the ff.

1. for instance, if you are using soft mode, go to soft detail by pressing the
right arrow key.
2. once you're there, scroll down to line 1 or message (depending where you'd
like to set your ring tone. Press change than scroll down to select the desired tone.
3. when you're done, it will automatically save your desired ringtone ;)

Please post a comment once you're done so I could check if you were able to
successfully do it.

Hope this helps ;)

Hi Guys,
I think Hitokiri is right. You have to browse your phone & discover things yourself since Moto KRZR K1 is not user friendly. But its nice though. At first, I also had a hard time using this phone. But I tried browsing & check out its features & I've learned how to use it properly. Just be patient in using it.

Hi Maslinka,

FOr you to be able to disable the sound it makes while pressing the buttons, please follow the step by step procedure:
1. identify if you are using loud, soft, vibrate, silent etc.
2. ex. if you are using style: soft mode, go to soft details by pressing the right arrow key.
3. press change
4. scroll down to key volume then press change.
5. you can now adjust the volume of your keypad from 0-7
6. after pressing the desired volume, it will be automatically saved.

I hope this helps ;)

Hi guys, I've read a lot of negative & positive comments about the phone that we are using.. MOTO KRZR K1. For the alarm, you have to set first the time / then go back to options / and enable it. For the music storage & games, just make sure that you were able to insert your micro SD since the storage of the phone itself is limited. It has expandable memory, remember? Mine is doing a great job! Its not slow, I can store a lot of music.. pictures are really good since the resolution is very clear & awesome. Besides, the phone is very affordable with good quality & better features than other phone brands. It has everything except for the 3G capability.

I love this phone...first off it has a 2.0 mega pixel camera...which basically means the pictures are clearer (most phone has 1.3 MP)...plus you can install a sd micro chip (up to 2 GB) which can hold up 4900 pictures and/or up to 500 (Full) Songs...You can record (clear) videos up to 12 minutes...most phone record up to just 30 sec... not only do it play mp3...it plays ACC(mp4) as well... it has blue tooth...(need i even say no more)... i have the KRZR k1 (blue)... i just brought my girl the K1 (silver)... (which is even better)... ($249.99) t-mobile month to month contract (sim card)... it's pricey...but i highly recommend... u will save more than you think you are spending...any questions hit me up at logicalistication@yahoo.com...

I'm sorry, this phone is awful. I've been using it for half a year. It's basically a RAZR in a different looking package. Slow and crappy.

Hi, my sister has one but the camera it seems, stretches the picture horizontally so it makes everything look fatter than it is in real life. or is it just my sister's k1? if so, can someone with k1 kindly send me sample images? I desperately like the look and feel of k1 but the image distortion stops me :( thanks!
