Concerning camera improvement...

It's applicable to all phones as long as you can mod the phone. All Motorola or your provider does is set the amount of memory used to take pictures or record videos.

If you study them... say for instance a phone you feel takes better videos... just record the same thing as your Motorola for the same time span i.e 10secs... what u'd notice is the better quality video is of a much high Kilobyte/megabyte. This is usually done so that you can record more for MMS purposes.

For instance on my Maxx V6... previously my MMS recorded up to 16secs @ 300KB max limit for MMS... now it records only 7-8secs to reach the 300kb limit. Reason being cos it uses more memory to process the pictures thus.. better quality.

Thats the only difference so when people shout Nokia's record better and blah, blah.. thats the only reason. I know this cos when ever one of my mates sent me an MMS it was only ever 8 secs while mine were double that..but inferior quality.

I've modded mine anyways so the quailty is just as good now if not better.

Note that when u do this you will obvilosuly be able to record less vids or pics cos more memory is used. Chances are the K3 has had the mod done so it uses more memory for processing them... although i doubt this very much..most likely gonna be the same as the factory setting Maxx v6.

To do this is very easy... just check some sites such as www.motox.us and look for the "P2K05 Map"... all the seem edits to enable things such as:
AGPS;
Hot Messages(folder to store or create priority messages);
Shortcuts;
Ring timer(allows u to set the seconds before ur phone ring starts when a call come in);
Java priority(if say ur using a java app...it allows u to set whther an incoming call should have priority and connect or if the App should have priority so the call does not cut you off);
Java de-bug;
Allow Alert(function that comes up in Video Setup.. never used it yet tho);
Video Interactive Gateway;
Live Video Share Service;
Battery Save;
TTY Set up;
Autopin Dial;
Start TCK(java feature)

... and probably some others i cannot remember, all which i've enabled on my phone.

Kinda baffles me why all the technology Motorola puts on the phone are taken out by the Operators... just makes no sense.

I've even modded my phone so when u charge it... instead of the charge light(green one by usb connetor) on the side light up... instead the blue moto pulsates on and off till fully charged.

Very cool phone that Razr Maxx V6

K3 and V6 have very similar software... same Synergy/P2k05 based phone. K3 is just a 3G version of the K1... but lower in the hierarchy than the Razr Maxx. At most it's just as good as the Razr Maxx but still has less memory etc...

It has an updated interface.
If you use Jbenchmark on this one, the results are twice as big than a K1
Really, the menu is different from K1 and v6maxx
plus the camera is somehow improved

i agree. moto design is unique, they use nice materials that don't look like a cheap plastic. but one thing i noticed is that every time they add features to their razr line, it becomes thick. oh well, am a bit disappointed.. i say what really matters is what's inside the phone. .

Moto ain´t stupid, neither Nokia or S.E, they are great, i actually love moto, and they have all sizes and flavors so come on don´t say they are on bankrupt because that´s a mean lie, or should I say don´t be an ignorant, if not go and learn about motorola history and you´ll find something good, motorola is motorola. So don´t even dare to say the same design because if you are from a different brand (except Nokia or SE) every one is copying the design from the original models from moto moto, so sorry for you and my respect if you are a S.E or Nokia fan, even when I hate their horrible designs

This is a very good phone. In typical Motorola style the design, features, materials, user interface and performance are very good. I would like to buy one in this particular line. BUT will only be buying one to replace my current phone if they add Wi-Fi, third-party software capability (Skype etc.), perhaps LED LCD screens to help improve battery performance further. Additionally, would be nice to have a button on hinge, or somewhere easier/more convenient, to flip phone open. Won't cry, but would like to see more colours, GPS (combined Bluetooth/GPS chip, anyone?) and MP3 player function buttons on cover and maybe auto focus for camera. But perhaps will forever remain a dream. To critics of Motorola design, I must ask – would you rather have something that if you must have it with you doesn’t interfere with your attempts to do anything whatsoever, however important OR trivial that you do day-to-day, or something that more or less resembles a brick? Personally, I think that if you want PDA/Pocket Computer functions, then get one of those. I understand people may not want to have two separate devices if the tech exists to combine the two, but why have a speaker and microphone on the unit itself if you can’t hold it to your ear and input data @ the same time? Personally think that the effort of holding a phone to your ear for any lengthy period of time is painful enough, without the units being so wide you have to stretch your fingers to do it. Plus the units are damn ugly to boot!

looks quite similar to the UI on v6 maxx.
This video seems to show v6 maxx ui more clearly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETz5Hl3dHTU

should be able to help those ppl make up their minds if they like the UI.

but the speed on the menu operation of the v6 maxx really rocks!!!...got to change my nokia 6680 man!!!
