is there any difference between the L2 and the L6 aside from the 32 polyphonic voices and no camera on the L2??

I wonder if it's possible to enable the 850mhz band on the L2 like it's possible on the L6. On motox.info's site, you can enable the 850mhz band to make the L6 quad band by editing the 0032_0001 seem

Does anyone know if they released these in Australia? seems to be the best phone available without a camera, and considering I can't have one for work, nor do I need one anyway (have a digi camera for that) i would like to get one

This phone is already available at Cingular Wireless already. No, I am not confusing it with L6 and L7

Lots of mistakes in these specs. 1) 10MB of memory, not 5. 2) 500 phonebook memories, not 1000. 3) CSTN display 128x160. Not TFT. 4) Not designed as an MP3 player, just MP3 ringtones. Can be used for that, but limited by the 10MB. 5) Standard battery is 720mah, not 820. 6) No EDGE 7) Triband. Think of this as an L6 w/o the camera. Good, thin, stylish phone,w/o a camera (not everyone wants one!)

Great fon for those prefer without camera. The only comment I had is that memory space is not only small but very very small. With MP3 player build in, suggest memory to be at least 32MB. Good for at 5 to 6 songs.

Worth waiting, at last a feature packed stylish quad band world phone will hit the market for those who do NOT prefer integrated camera feature. Cannot wait to buy this phone direct from Motorola.

Beautiful fon!!! The only drawback i should say is the memory - too small. Since MOTO had its wireless concept with BT, same must be carried out with the memory space - like 16MB minimum.

A cool, sexy, feature packed handset from the dudes at Moto. Can't wait to buy this phone and according to hearsay, Telstra (Australia) may introduce one model towards the end of 2005 and possibly will be available for pre-paid customers. (For Au)

Best Features:
Super slim candy bar at 11mm, (Slimmer than V3) colour display 128 x 160 pixels, bluetooth, push-to-talk, speakerphone, java 2.0, mms, usb, class 10 gprs, 5 mb onboard memory, 24 chord polyphonic ringtones including mp3 and great battery life (Approx. 310 hours s.b.)

Summary:
This is a entry level base model handset and blows away most opposition brands, comparing all features available.

Note:
This phone has not been released yet and all specifications, features and descriptions could be subject to change. Once I get my hands on this beauty, I will post a more in-depth review on this handset.

Why is it that every feature-packed phone has to have a camera while the camera-free phones tend to be bulky, boring, and featureless? Finally, somebody took a step forward. Ultra-thin, bluetooth, video...all without a camera. For those of you complaining about the memory limit for MP3s, I don't think you need to be listening to music at 256kbps on a cell phone.
