They did fix it after an OS upgrade but not sure about which version is it . Anyway , as long as it can be upgraded , its more than enough . The keyboard is a big plus compared to nexus

Yes, the phone can be upgraded to newer version. Those in HK already got upgraded to version 2.0.1, which improves the cam quality and battery life. We've heard the Droid (CDMA version of Milestone) already received upgrade to version 2.1
I've used the phone well over a week now. I'm very much impressed by Android 2. It's just a breeze of fresh air compared to Windows Mobile, Symbian etc.
The phone itself is also truly a great piece. I am however slightly disappointed about battery life - i go through a full charge in 6 hours, if i use it intensively. Normal use is more like just under 2 days; one or two longer phone calls, some sms-es, some web checking. the layout of the phone is good. I had to get used to the keypad somewhat, and still like that of the i780 more, (Nokia E71 style); even though it is much smaller, i hardly hit the wrong keys on the samsung, as opposed to that of the milestone. I dont understand why the D-pad is there, so much space wasted.
then there is internet browsing - I get the impression that it's not really the fastest browser around. However, acceptable.
apart from these features, I really do like the phone a lot thus far, am very happy with it. And Android 2 is absolutely and truly great. I have active connection to 3 email accounts etc, and Android market has many great (location-aware) apps to download and install. The package is a winner - go for it :)
I was told Android v2.0 is not tat good , cant even support file transfer thru bluetooth unless u get a 3rd party application ? Is tat true ? Is it possible to upgrade the OS to a newer Android like WM6.1 to WM6.5 ? Really keen on this device but these 2 questions has been bugging me ...Tx guys

AA, 12 Feb 2010I really like the sound of this phone but bit worried about the battery life. How long is it ... morei only just got this phone and i've been using it constantly (like downloading apps, rearranging my widgets, texting heaps) and it's lasting me about 12 hours.
How to hard reset Motorola Milestone?
ls10, 11 Feb 2010hi! i'm torn between milestone, n900 and nexus one! could someone please help me decide?just milestone
I really like the sound of this phone but bit worried about the battery life. How long is it likely to last if i used it frequently?
can anybody tell where the stereo speakers are ? The spec shows it's 2 speakers but where ? And does it have a camera lens protection ?
I've had this phone for over a month now in UK, although bought from Germany. The phone is really good. The main bad points are:
1) No voice dialling, you can't search using your voice; I think that only works in USA with the droid.
2) No divx support for videos. What good are 16M colours and the best resolution if you can't watch a proper movie? Anyway...
3) No Flash support for the internet, gsmarena got it wrong. You can watch youtube videos though thanks to the dedicated application.
4) No full gps, just a demo version of motonav, which looks pretty useless.
Apart from the above points, the phone is really good. Very quick, great at multitasking, very good overall.
