TO USE CELLPHONE AS A MODEM FOR LAPTOP
Setup of Motorola MILESTONE XT720 to Laptop Windows XP using Motorola Micro USB Cable for GPRS
Prerequisites
A Motorola Milestone XT720 handset with a compatible Cincinnati Bell Wireless data plan
A compatible Micro USB Cable
Administrative rights on the PC
Setting up the modem
Connect the USB cable from the PC to the handset.
Slide the notification menu down and tap USB Connection.
Tap Portals & Tools and then tap OK.
On the PC, the AutoPlay prompt will appear. Click Install Motorola Driver.
When the Motorola Driver Installation wizard launches, click Next.
Read the License Agreement then click I Agree.
Click Next and allow all the drivers to install.
Setting up the connection
On the PC, click the Start Menu, and then click Control Panel.
Double click Network Connections.
Click Create a new connection.
A New Connection Wizard window appears, click Next.
Click to select Connect to the Internet, and then click Next.
Click to select Set up my connection manually, and then click Next.
Click to select Connect using a dial-up modem, and then click Next.
Click to select the Motorola USB Modem.
Ensure that no other modems are checked, and then click Next.
In the ISP Name field, type CBW Internet, and then click Next.
Type *99# in the Phone number field, and then click Next.
Ensure the User name and Password fields are blank.
Click to select from the available options below, and then click Next.
Click Finish and close all open windows.
Making the connection
On the PC, click the Start Menu, and then click Control Panel.
Double click Network Connections.
Double click CBW Internet.
Click Dial.
A connection to the Cincinnati Bell Wireless data service is established.
The XT720 won't go on Android 2.2 It will go on 2.3 when it'll be available. One bad thing about this phone, it's that you can't turn off your mobile internet on the cellphone compare to the Nexus One.
How do open the back cover of the phone please assist me.

is 2.2 coming this quarte or not ??!?!? According to Motorola, XT720 will remain on 2.1 Eclair.
However Milestone one year before its release will be receive 2.2 Froyo ... (!!!!)
