Running Lollipop 5.1 for several weeks now on my Moto X 1st gen. All i can say its so much better than Kitkat. Smooth , battery last longer , better signal . Just please you must factory reset after taking Lollipop.
I had Lollipop installed for several days now. It first was really laggy until several more additional updates took place and several restarts. Now it works just as good as before with definitely improved battery life, especially with WiFi and LTE turned on.
Got the 5.1 update on 20th June. Working smooth.. No lag, no crash... Lollipop is so sweet. Technically, Moto X 1st gen is the 1st dual core mobile to get official lollipop update!!

I now have to restart my phone at least 3-5 times per day because it freezes randomly while on standby. I had to buy a new phone.
Is there any one got lollipop plzz help me I am using moto x still I didn't get the update but they r is it has released already. But I didn't get the message it is saying ur software is uptodate but I am still in 4.4.4 plz help me guys
I agree with everyone who is saying that Moto X is a great phone. However, esp. in India, why is the charging cable and the ear phone quality so horrible? Charging users a 24K + price, its unfair to receive a phone cable that needs to be really pushed hard to get plugged. Instead, Samsung accessories are much better in quality.
Why can't Motorola provide better quality accessories? They are pathetic at the moment.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2015hi how can i assign a ringtone from my music list Use the file Manager (download from Play Store)
boby123456, 16 Jun 2015how to set ringtonesI have a Moto G, and in order to asign a ringtong I had to download a File Manager like ES File Explorer from App Store, and after install it I was able to choose any ringtone.
Having no card slot is a pain. I was not given the option for the 32gb model or the 64. After installing the few apps I needed and porting my music over, the phone was too full to update the apps that it came with (ie.the ones I can't get rid of and don't want) also the integrated battery will become problematic eventually, and with previous phones, I could just go buy a new battery, I guess that's impossible now. What a pain in the petunias.
