motorola knows how to make good cell-phones. a basic phone. only one minus..it takes five hours to load the battery here in europe.

Superb phone! Texting works fine once you get used to it. Ok, letters could be better, but anyway it's a great device.

However, the backlight is rarely needed. I have viewed my F3's display in candle light and dim moonlight and been able to read it perfectly clearly.

Shortly: Cheap and odd
I was looking for a simple and reliable "just a phone" (price does not matter).
What I like:
- you can see time in almost any light conditions
- strong body
- light
- good charger connector
- not bad battery life
Don't like:
- after 3-4 month battery and signal level indicators become gray
- after some jumps between towers, phone become unusable without rebooting it. You have to reboot it once a week.
- strange and unclear interface - it is not simple, it is cheap and odd. Motorola can't make any simple phones any more.
- can't edit phone book.
- rings once more (in your hear) a second after you push "talk" button.
Phones I own before:
- Ericsson DH318 (like it)
- Vtech A700
- Motorola v60 (like it)
- Motorola V65p
- Motorola StarTAC 7868 (like it)
- Motorola Mike i880 (like it)
- Motorola L6
- Motorola F3

I needed a cheap replacement for a lost Razor phone. I got my Motofone F3 on-line for $30 delivered! Once I was over the emotional baggage of owning a phone that has NO features (except~geez~making calls); I found its uber slim design and simplicity refreshing!

> In reply to DSchwiz @ 2008-11-17 16:21 from j%qwLately my F3 has been losing clarity in the signal and battery indicators, kind of washed out looking. They will start out fine when I turn it on but as it's on for a while they go dim and eventually I can't see the bars at all. I have to power cycle to get them back. Anyone having the same problem or does anyone have a solution?
