well i use one of the mpx200 phone but i must say that i have done a lot of research onn this phone and i might solve all ur problems but i am just a lil kid who loves what i havee and that is the same for the phone i use too.
well if u want to upgrade to any version be it 2002,2003, 2005 (that is the only ones i know) the site to go to is www.x-driver.com
u would find a place where it is written firmware on the upper-left of the page. after that u would find 'phone' there and clicking it would give u a list of phones and then u would click on motorola then u would find mpx200 there and oh! there is even some for mpx220.
so there u have it i hope u are happy now. if u want more info contact me and i will tell u all thatt u wana know.
i could even tell u where to get wav songs. i use super Mario's theame as ma ringing tone and i get ppl loking the phone in thhe end.
ma email is jkoduah@yahoo.com

all though i can bluff about me being a good guy about this phone, i have a problem; i hate the battery system of this fon, it is very low.
i even considered selling it but i have had some encouragement form here to know that u all use the phone i use and most of u love it.
ok ok ok bye (DextDee)

Yes you can upgrade it to windows mobile 2003,or 2005.With 2003 you can hold wma as a ringtone but in windows mobile 2005 you can hold mp3-s as a ringtone.Just search google to find the rom(it has 3 parts),motorola upgrade wizard and motorola usb drivers!

i think this is the only motorola device you can call a Mobile phone (not a big fan of moto) but this phone is great, it's got windows mobile on it, meaning you can view movies and such and it's extremly user friendly the simple design makes it a great phone even for begginers. This phone deserves an A grade for the price/functionality/user friendly char. great phone buy it you won't regret it ;)

Anyone knows how to increase the volume while playing an mp3 file? My volume is remaining low even if I turn it maximum by jog dial, by the media player volume buttons or by selecting "Settings" for the file :(

Phone was OK whilst it lasted, but before the 2 years contract was up, left me with only 3 keys working on the keyboard. I have a charger and USB cable to offer for anyone who needs those. Call me 021 959 4126 (W) or E/M me
