Hey my dad had this phone before and it was lying around and its unlocked so I decided to use it. However when I try to transfer mp3s or pictures onto it via Activesync, it tries to convert the files and then says "File path not specified" Ive searched everywhere on google and cannot find a solution, ive tried uninstalling and installing again, rebooting, everything. Does anyone have a solution to get mp3s and photos onto this phone without getting an error in Activesync? Thanks in advance.

Press the small silver "Start"-button on the side for a second only then release and a menu will appear where you can very clearly put airplane mode on or off...

This phone is quite ok with the exception that it could use a better lasting batterylife. And the windows media player takes a moment longer to "load" open if you are using a larger, 2GB memory card like I am doing. The external speaker is loud as hell! I'm playing rock music with it at my job and ppl are going like "WOW" when they see the size of this phone where the sound is coming from.

Where in the world one can buy "stronger" battery than this which came with the phone?
How do you mean "Motorola 1700mA original", I've never heard of it...
Name, address, link, anything...

OH MY GOD!!! HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! - why would you buy a phone this old to start complaning about all sort of small BullS... then get a newer technology. about the battery make sure is Motorola MPX200 1700 mAh ORIGINAL not the 700mAh Standard that comes with the phone and DONT BUY weird some asian knockoff because IT WILL NOT WORK FULLY, also, get a desktop charger which workks best charging the battery at its FULL capacity... the phone DOES NOT!!! this is motorola´s fault but I have said it so many times and nobody seem to be listening. Also you might want to upgrade the software via Moto firmware or flash it to WM2003 since as we know the mpx200 comes with Windows for Mobile WM2002 which is NOT good on the battery chargin department anyways... so CRY ME A RIVER!!!... get a newer technology PEOPLE, STOP SHOPPING FOR KNOCKOFFS ON EBAY... get a newer, better, cheaper PHONE - READ! -

Oh yes.. before I forget... DO NOT BUY THE US VERSION because is crippled by ATT and FCC -. by all means necessary by the EU (EUROPEAN version).

If you are in a country where the MPX200 is HOT AS HELL (by this I mean good or great), then keep it. In any other case there are now more phone available in the market with more features... if you happen to be a moto lover then look at motorola´s new phones and such. I am a phone collector myself and have exactly 4512 phones at the time Im writing this. MPX200 is great but it has its flows like any other phone (specially when you put the TIRED-ASS windows for mobile 2002 software in it).
I have receive to the date 14537 emails (beilieve it or not) from people asking for help, software, advice and whatnot - I HAVE REPLIED TO ALL OF THEM - and will keep on replying... but one thing is sure, 99% of those who email me are real people, really confused about the MPX200 syndrome, which is:
- DO NOT INSTAL ANYTHING, ANYTHING I SAID in the phone´s memory, install everything in you SD or MMC card, no matter how small the program is... the mpx200 has a very BAD memory administration problem when it comes to the phone but surprisingly this DOES not happen when the phone is managing the memory card.
Missing features on this phone... NONE! - remember is a phone with an operating system which means that the intention of the manufacturer was to sell YOU applications so you can customize the device to your needs, NO MMS? then buy software so you can do it, NO PICTURE for caller ID then buy software so you can do it.. etc... NOTE for the non-believers... this phone DOES support WIFI cards on its very much WEIRD SD/MMC slot... I tested a few that didnt work at all but amazingly the Kodak SDIO WIFI adapter works like a charm (it came with a KODAK cam my wife gave to me as a gift)... but again... this phone is OLD... there are now better technologies out there, faster, nicer and so so much cheaper... I hope this can be of help for future buyers. :) I´m out.
Roswell.
