In an event in which Nexus 6's launch price range was, more or less, pitted against the likes of Mate7, Vibe Z2 Pro, Find 7, Nubia line, or OnePlus One territory, would you, Tcool, VERY HONOURABLE, and Moto Play X have had different opinions by then? Will Nexus 6 be of interest to you, guys? Kindly add statement of reasons regardless of how different each of your take on the matter is :-)
Here's the trouble now. Remember Nexus 5 is a joint effort by LG and Google, whereas Nexus 6 with Motorola and Google. I reckon, we won't see Nexus 6's price to mark down until we see a price drop in Nexus 5.
Now, here is a layout of a hypothetical scenario. Let's say Motorola priced the Nexus 6, on its launch, equally or less ($399 or below depending on which muodel variant as others suggest it should) than LG's Nexus 5. We all know how the scenario would go by then. If we compare spec by spec and rule out pricing since they'd equally same, it could have hurt Nexus 5's sales. And Nexus 5 hasn't even reached the phased out stage as of now and it has been reported that Google/LG will still continue to produce Nexus 5. I wouldn't think Google would want LG's Nexus sales to sink just yet.
At some point in Nexus sales history, we've already seen how Google moves its products which could also be seen in other mobile companies like Apple, Samsung, Sony, LG, and more. Take Nexus 4, 5, 7 (2012), and 7 (2013). Price went down for Nexus 4 around the time 5 got introduced (not those rumor times), then we also saw how they reduced the price for 7 (2012) near 7 (2013)'s launch. We've took note how Apple plays with their pricing for their soon-to-be previous iPhone/iPad models against their soon-to-launch models. But for the previous Nexus models, price adjustments were flexible since Nexus 4 and 5 were produced by the same Google partner, LG, whereas 7 (2012) and 7 (2013) were also manufactured by one company, ASUS.
So based on Nexus pricing history, both LG (Nexus 5's manufacturer) and partly Google have the upper hand on consulting each other if they will mark down Nexus 5's price tag before Google gets in touch with Motorola to discount the Nexus 6.
In turn, I reckon that there won't be a discount promo for the Nexus 6 until Nexus 5 gets discounted first. Unless Nexus 5 reaches phase out stage any soon, a cheaper Nexus 6 won't be seeing the light of day yet. If we want to test my opinion, there's no harm, I guess we should buy and phase out everything Nexus 5 LOLlahaha
Disclaimer: I am certainly not a consultation adviser nor a consultation firm, I'm merely stating what I opine as far as my observaton on Nexus' pricing history is to be based upon :-)
[deleted post]Therefore your stereo loud speaker is useless!
Mate 7 3.5mm DTS Surround sound enhancement is the best!
Thank you for waving that white flag.
PTS, 22 Oct 2014LTE CAT 6, SoC 805, Adreno 420? Trust me, you won't like the phone is too thin at 6" when... moreI don't trust you.
My tablet is 7" but only 7.18mm thin yet I have no problem of one-hand-hold.
Don't speak as if you already hold all the thin phones.
10.1mm is very thick for a 5.96" phone with sky high price.
VERY HONOURABLE, 22 Oct 2014Well, yes speak for yourself. Choosing either earphones or speakers is one's matter of choice.... more#logic
You won't buy a phone to show off people by using the loud speaker. You are just disturbing others by using the phone's loud speaker. Not all people will like whatever crap music you are playing on your phone.
Guys is anyone from Singapore? Any idea when this phone would be released by mobile network providers? I'm looking to buy either nexus 6 or lg g3 please suggest which one would be better..
I'm so excited about this phone. Can you get your hands on it and do a video with it. Possibly a battery comparison test with say the note 4 or iPhone 6? I'd love to see how great this device actually is.
It is a great phone but the only con is its size except that this phone is going to rock the market like hell . There are many phablet lovers!! So, it might be a phone to be looked upon by them. let's see the reviews
Cameras are better the longer the lens and the nexus 6 should therefore have had the camera where it is thickest - right in the middle of the phone.
Man this is gonna be anotherbgr8 phone by nexus and those who think it is a waste u just need to see the reviews after it is released

Trust me, you won't like the phone is too thin at 6" when it comes to one-hand-hold. Unless, it's curve like LG G Flex. This Nexus 6 has an exceptional design like Galaxy Nexus, which is handy. However, is not much different in terms of pricing. Overall, I will choose this Nexus anytime although I'm using Nexus 5.
grey, 22 Oct 2014correct if if i'm wrong. is there no flash at rear camera? There is a Flash called Ring flash as I have read somewhere.
Moto Play X, 21 Oct 2014It is possible to have the Moto Play X dude.OK, thanks.
Tcool, 22 Oct 2014You are biased! How about Nexus 6 doesn't have expansion memory? Mate 7 has 32GB internal me... moreYes u r right. I rather buy Lenovo z2 pro for its super battery life, dual sim and 7.7 mm thickness compared to 10.1 mm nexus 6. Nexus 6 may have better CPU and GPU but the performance is marginal. Why pay hefty premium price when there are lots of alternative like Mate 7, Vibe Z2 Pro, Oppo 7, ZTE Nubia & 1+1
