I overheard a conversation with a Verizon rep. There probably will bea GSM version, but Verizon has agreements to have rights tomarket it on their network a few months before any other carrier/system can have it. Can anyone confirm this rumor?

Mennnnnnnnnn.... u Motorola guys always take forever to release stuff... PDA's been out for at least 5 years now and ur guys still having problems?...Gawd!!! I mean u done the MPX 200 and MPX 220 already so what problems can u possibly have that u cant sort out since last year when the communication went out to the public of it's pending release?
Only ever used Motorola'z (bar my mistaken stint with SE z1010)... so luv ur products but gotta say... ur product delivery is absolutely rubbish and u cant even begin to calculate ur revenue losses just from late releases cos now all the xda, mda pro, blackberry etc have taken so many customers already that would have luved to have the Q instead.
That suckz a$$!

Guys who are wanting this handphone. Trust me, you got to wait quite awhile. I'm currently working in Motorola (Tianjin) Electronics. This phone is still in it's testing period. We encountered some problems and are still trying to solve it. Motorola Liberty Field, Motorola New Jersey and us are working hard on this handphone. But trust me, this phone is exceptionally good. I'm using a prototype and must say, if you got the money. BUY IT. You will not regret.
Cheers

Looks like the Q will only be available for the American market. No GSM - only CDMA!

Is Motorola going to upgrade certain features in this Q series? Is there anybody know? I am currently using Treo 600, and has been expecting to swap to Q for a while... I would be willing to sacrifice the convenience of touch-screen function, getting a slim phone body in return. But everything about Q seems to come so slow... It is so frustrating...

The Q has not been released by Moto as of Mar 06. Do not pre order from any on-line vendor as they are going to rip you off. be patient ladies and gents.

Love the features of this phone but disappointed only dual band for now. Live in US but travel throught Asia and need a good quad-band phone. Looks like I have to find another model to meet my requirements

Just to let you guys know, initially this phone will be offered on CDMA only. I'm sure most of you know that already, but now it is confirmed by Motorola. Still hoping they release the GSM version by the end of year.

I've enjoyed my MPx220 but miss having a qwerty keyboard . I've loaded compressed movies and mp3 tunes on my mini sd cards with good results. The sound is great with the ear buds. I hope that with the keyboard I'll be able to browse and email easier. Pictures are fair in 4"x6" print if you hold steady. Q has better specs. so it should exceed the results I gotten with with the MPx220. Now I think that I'll be able to trade stocks fairly easily compared to the effort required by MPx220 key pad. Since I have about $300.00 worth on mini sd cards I was happy to see a unit that would use them.

I ordered Motorola Q at Trado but they sent me the mail that i have to order minimum 3units. I don't think they even have the phone. Some how they don't seem reliable. During ordering process site never mention minimum number of units to order.I wish someone can let me know if u got this phone from Trado.
