I only use clamshells and got this last Saturday. Battery life is quite good as it is still showing 2 bars after 4 days of use; each day about 1 hr talk and some music listening. I do not find anything spectacular about this phone and the features are basically the same as their older models. Still unable to have permanent delivery report for those interested in this feature. Looks like I would still have to use my Nokia 6131 to complement this.

I will definitely ,phisically touch and observed the phone,Still waiting to be launch in S'pore coz there's no other phone that really capture my desire beside this V8.I've been using V3 for about 1 1/2 years and drop it about 5 times and it's durable.Hope it doesnt dissapoint my expectation....cheers MOTO...

was your phone a pre-release model? if so, that could be the reason for your difficulties with it. as far as i know, the phone has only been released in a few asian markets and nowhere else. i could be wrong though. still looking forward to this one...by all account seems to be a great one.

I got one of these on saturday... I'm going to have to take it back. Shame, I like the design a lot and the OS is much better than old Moto's but it's really slow accessing contacts (I've only got about 150) and pictures. Plus the glass that covers the outside screen is a bit loose so it creaks & you have to press down hard to make the touch buttons work.
Oh and the battery doesn't last more than a day and it's crashed twice a day since saturday.
Real shame cos the design & OS are really good, it's just not good enough!!

It's nice that the external screen is huge, but the internal screen is smaller than the V3...I think...here's a picture...

I just saw HKS-Mobile got the English keypads in stock. Will be ordering mine. Spoke to the owner and he has them ready to ship.

guys this is not a bashing motorola, sony or nokia campaign. if you guys don't wanna buy the phone, don't, but please don't share unnecessary useless information like that. we are here to share opinions on the phone, not on whether you intend to buy or not.

You can create folders for the messages. You can send messages from phone to sim and vice versa. You are not limited in storing messages. Thats some of the answers.

I know this phone looks gorgeous but sorry motorola i dont trust your products so as your brand...

As what the saying goes "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" yes its true, but the question is - WILL IT LAST?

I dont wana get this phone simply because I dont wana go back again within 6 months time to the shop for it to be fixed.

I know it depends how u handle and take care of it BUT the majority of people knows what theyre like, but if the sort of person that changes their phones more than changing their underwear, then it doesnt matter.

thats it..bye

just want to know something abt this phone. I have been a nokia user ever since. For nokia phones, i can create my own folder in the messages section and i am almost unlimited in using the memory for storing other messages and notes. I was wondering if motorola has the same function. Thanks. PS, particularly this phone, coz when available Im planning to get the 2gb model
