I'm hoping that if Razr I came out last two weeks here in the Philippine market, then maybe Razr M will come out here end of November or 1st Week of December.. Hoping..

I'm curious which country do you mean by here. what i know is that the razr i has only been released in europe in france, england, and germany in addition to latin american countries. I'm still waiting for either of them to be released here in egypt.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-11-10 21:09 from fk}P - click to readYou're a bit off here. RAZR M is a much more powerful device than the RAZR i. Both CPU and GPU. The only benchmark RAZR i wins in is call time and browser speeds. Not gaming power.

I can buy the RAZR i today, it's readily available, but I'd rather have the M. So hoping it comes to Philippines by the time I go there next month.

> In reply to Jade - PH @ 2012-11-08 08:51 from wYJ0 - click to readlike aslo said, you "should" be able to use DROID razr m (both developer edition or the normal edition) in philippines as long as your band is supported (850/900/1800/1900/2100?)

afaik the only differences between developer edition and normal edition is just the unlocked bootloader. both are GSM unlocked (for outside of US at least)

> In reply to samy @ 2012-11-02 02:27 from fn8G - click to readYes, i'm using it outside US. in asia actually. i cannot really help you about where to buy, but i guess you can always use ebay ;)

price is around 400-500 US$.

Note: you cannot use droid razr M for other US carriers AFAIK. so if you intend to use it for AT&T or whatever other US carriers, don't buy Droid razr (M/HD/HD Maxx), choose the international version instead.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2012-11-06 12:41 from vaNH - click to readNah.. not really... you can google about the droid razr m gsm capabilities, it is actually unlocked by verizon (you can use any GSM carriers outside of US), but no AT&T, or other US GSM carriers.

so basically in DROID razr M, you have the same phone as razr M, but with extra in CDMA (of course with verizon logo) :)

> In reply to Jade - PH @ 2012-11-09 08:53 from wYJ0 - click to readeven if you don't need to unlock it, its impossible to get the phone on a contract unless you live in the US. forget about the benchmark results, all reviews show that the razr i is much faster than the m. At least the razr i is available unlocked

> In reply to Jade - PH @ 2012-11-09 08:53 from wYJ0 - click to readMost likely not, you don't need to do anything. If I were you, I'd still try to get one from australia, if at all possible, but the verizon *should* work for you, just check frequency bands and such (note: I take no responsibility if it doesn't).
If you have the choice, get the developer edition: it costs the same (full retail price), and if it doesn't work, chances are some developer around the world will find a way to make it work ...

> In reply to Jade - PH @ 2012-11-08 08:51 from wYJ0 - click to readThe only difference between the regular verizon one and the "developer edition" verizon is that, with the developer edition, you can unlock the bootloader and install custom software. Nothing changes regarding carrier lock ... and while the razr m won't work with other carriers in the US, reportedly it's unlocked for use outside of the US.
Instead me, since I *am* in the US and NOT with verizon, I'd really *really* love to know where to buy a non-verizon razr m ...

By The way, RAZR M has a developer edition. So is this the one that is not locked with Verizon? Like I can use this phone for a different carrier like here in the philippines; Globe, Smart and Sun???
