I just want to post this review for a very unfornate experienced with motorola phone V6 max and the store in MOA Philippines where I bought it. I like the features of this phone especially if you talk about MP3. The quality of the sound is extremely good when you want to hear music and see videos. This phone is also fast if you brouse in the internet. However after 3 to 4 months of using the phone the keypod system malfunctioned and I have to bring it there for repair. It took me almost 2 to 3 months to wait because they told me the parts will still come from Japan. So I asked for a service phone and they provided me with one. But, is this how the repair process have to take long? Finally I got the phone and the warranty was extended only for another 2 months.. I did use the phone, it was not even a year that same problem had occured and I was already out of the warranty. I have to bring it back (Motorola store in MOA Philippines) for diagnosis and I was informed that the fee is just like buying a new phone so I didn't have it repaired. My sentiment is motorola is a good phone but it is not sturdy and the people in that store are not customer friendly. For me they are arrogant. I hope motorola will have do something about their phone and their personels especially Motorola Store in MOA Philippines. I was really very unfornate because the bad experience did not end in just one phone but in another phone I bought in the same store L72i. The keypod laminated coating has peeled off in just 10 months of usage. Is this a factory defect??? I have read good reviews of motorola phones but I am just unfornate to get one probably with a factory defect but the experienced I have with the store personels I won't forget. My family will not go back in that store ever. I hope store owners will have to look into this matter for a better service and care to their customers...

i just bought this phone 3days ago. i really liked this phone ever since it was out on the market. at last i get to have one myself but i had a PROBLEM. when i try to call or receive a call the sound is choppy or grabbled and you cant understand a word. it's the same when you use the headset or do it on loud speaker. i gave it to motorola repair center and cant fix it and has to be sent to the main office.
if ever i get that fixed i'll sell it and got back to SONY ERICSSON!!!

Hi everybody, can help me? I see the one of this V6's spesification is has a HTML browser, that is Opera 8. What kind of Opera 8? Is it like Opera Mini 4.1 or Opera for Symbian UIQ? Is the movement of 3x4 grid menu display slow? (that I know this V6 has CPU class ARM 9, and the CPU clock speed is 241 Mhz?
Thanks before!

I have bene a loyal Motorola user for a decade (and I still am) but this is the first mobile handset that let me down. After 9 months careful use, the handset just died on me. It was fine then after it had been switched off for half an hour it would not switch on again. I was gutted, because I had loved it to that point. It could be slow in moving between screens and signal reception during calls wavered about a bit. - Sadly I coudn't get it replaced by the manufacturer.
I have had to move onto a different motorola model through the same service provider which is fine, but lacks a lot of the features of the Maxx V6.
The V6 is a great phone if you want one that has all the functions: Video calls, camera, music, etc. However from my experience, you may be taking a risk and trading reliability to get it.

well well well this phones sucks because even it has a touch screen in front of it it can't stand a music playback for 2 straight hours hahahah the only problem in this phone is the battery..... and the flash in the camera you can use it as a flashlight but the down side is you must turn it on every time you want to capture a photo in dark....

Wow, a LOT hate Motorola for handset quality problems. I understand that early models have software drags and such but a lot has changed now. Take a good look at the RAZR2 series, ROKR E8 and the RIZR Z10. These addressed most of the problems of the older phones like the RAZR 1 series and others. You cannot just hate a whole company just because a particular product sucked badly. There are other products that might suit your taste.
And also, if you're good enough in hacking the software, you can easily bring a Motorola phone back to life. My V6 had problems too and I thought at one point that I lost my phone. Yet I solved the problem through some tweaks. And here I am happy that I still use my trusty V6 for nearly a year now.
By the way, the new Motorola still has its tricks up its sleeve. Its new Kodak-inspired ZN5 promises features never before seen in a camera phone and the successor to the successful E8 is nearing too. So don't judge Moto yet.

What made you assume that the phone I'm bashing was bought in a black market? The phone was bought in a legit dealer aka Globe in the Philippines. It even has that hologram sticker on the box. The truth is I'm not bashing it. The phone is cool but it just degraded in less than a year, I'm just telling my experience that's all. And from your name it just says fanboy all over it. Sure we like brands but the moment you can't accept that a brand has been making products that are not high quality and still saying that's not true then you have a problem. Motorola can win me back if and only if they make a quality phone for the average consumer.

Edward, that's the problem with buying from the black market, the risk of getting defective phones. Tell your relatives to buy from authorized dealers next time.
Why bash Moto? You don't even have one.
Maybe you're using a Nokia 636 or some such model and proud of it!
