my nokia 5310 is better than this phone, "3g"? who needs 3g when you have 16m color 2.1" qvga display and 8gb memory card with a dedicated audio chip, longer playback time and crystal clear audio quality huh? but i still love motorola, i even own a v3 as a back up phone..v3 has been with me for solid 4 years, dropped it ,many times and still working..never been rapaired...durable.i think

This is sucha lovely phone. Thin, sleek, professional-look. This was my 5th phone (after SE W550i).
Speakers not that great but camera was excellent for a 1MP phone. Even my now Nokia 5800XpressMusic 3.2MP looks just like 1MP.
This was my first: dual-screen, memory card.
Survived with me from June 07 til Jul 08 when I switched to HP iPaq rw6828. A not-so-smart move...

...a very nice phone. Although it is nothing like a "social-networking" phone with fancy android OS, it has the essentials a phone should have, talk (good battery), text (fast t9 response), web w/video streaming (3G to allow FAST phone or tethered data), various applications for email and IM checking, music/video player, camera/video recorder, the little stuff you know. Fell back on this phone when my AT&T tilt's touchscreen & front buttons stop working and haven't bought a new smartphone since...

Bought this phone due to hearing problems. Always had Nokia's but could not hear the phone ring. Once I became familiar with the menu (not as logical as Nokia) the effort paid off. This phone is a gem. Large print on display for Text but letters on keys a little small. Clear audio and bluetooth connected to my old nokia hands free. All I can say is I should have bought it earlier but will keep it for as long as I can. I might buy one as a spare for future use. Cheers.

> In reply to jim @ 2009-07-21 21:05 from 0H7Y - click to readI fell into a swimming pool with mine and it stopped. Put it into a bowl with dried rice to soak up the moisture, with a piece of clingfilm on top. Works again - but had to wait six months. Be patient!

I'am waiting for a brand new V9 and now I'm using v3xx, truly great phone, never had any problems. There is no new phone that matches the joy of poping the clamshell :P
