What does RIZR mean...?? C'mon man use your head...i dont care if you're even being sarcastic...but its not rocket science! THE PHONE SLIDES UP! what else could RIZR mean but RISER! Great looking phone but working in a phone store, these are bound to come back with problems in spades like the V3!

What does RIZR mean? What a name they r giving. RAZR is meaningful but RIZR. Now let me give a name 4 new Moto phone. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........................
PAZR (pager). Fine for a phone that will b small & slim with minimal featurs. HE HE HE........ Give some features man. These r totally hyped phone. Nothing new or neither good in specification. If MOTO is doing R&D in just material. Then just make phones with monocrome display, sms capability & spend all U'r money it R&D of outer body. Now i think SCPL will b the same.It is more hype then reality.The 5 features will b.
1)U will b able to make Call.
2)U will b able 2 send Sms.
3)It will have a CIF camera for U'r kids to play with
4)IT will b so slim that some time U will mistke it with double edged shaving blade.
5)And the last he most important for MOTO it will have a system that will give u the power to sent diff type of material to MOTO Labs for there future phones like Toothpaste tube, old bulbs, fuses other thing & u will b able to suggest names like CIGR (Ciger), BLDE (Blade)etc Plz prove me wrong. I know they can't.

I will have no complains about software of MOTO if they use there new UI (JUIX) that of ROKR E2. Its the best for non smart phone. But if the don't use that then they r stupid guys. And what r MOTO's problem guys? Why it is using 176*220 screen when it used QVGA in ROKR E2? It really sucks man to have such a cool phone with so much volume & just 176*220 screen. And what r there designers doing? They r after miniaturing phones without giving a proper features.I will go for a phone with normal size to some more bulky if it has features & specification 100 out of 100 then for a slim fone with no features. This is some thing really stupid. Why MOTO is paying there desinger & people of R&D section money just for assembling old hardware in new phones. The screen of new phone has 176*220 (65K) colour. Same 1.3 or 2MP Matrix With out optical zoom. Some of them don't have a flash. Just 20 MB onboard memory. If they r not using there R&D section wel then MOTO will b a history in future. I m a fan of Moto. I used some phones of MOTO but now they have starting acting like stupid. Come on guys take some real steps to produce some good phones.

i dont like the new phone that is this one. it has very good feature but i dont like the features. even if it does any good but nobody know understand motorola if it is england vodafone? it has a great camera which i like but it also hav feature which are very bad like camera and desighn.but in england it uis difficult to hear overseas people talk on there vodafone. i like the phone because i can see people talk with other phone and was the can which i understand.

The razr is a nice phone, but the rizr is a beautiful one. Motorola really needs to put this phone on the market. I think a lot of people would agree with me.

Just wanted to share some interesting facts.
Have you guys seen the first RAZR slider?
Here, have a look at the so called "Capri" or what they have released in korea as MS600.

Motorolla launched it to counter a chinese copy of RAZR slider that is being slod is China as "CECT S500" for $215. And I think that even looks better than what moto designers can do. Here have a look:

Now we have this "RIZR" ...they have changed their deign to keep the chunky base that even the chinese design has...I just wonder what the moto designers were doing??? They have to see a chinese copy to come up with this? And you guys are calling it a great design..there is nothing great to deign this..this should the 1st slider design,,and those stupid moto designer cant even design that....You guys simply have no idea what's going on or just dont read news.
I'm a designer myself and let me tell you honestly, It takes no time to design different models based on RAZR. There are concept moto Razr slider on the net and they look wvene better. Moto released all these models and they all are on same RARZ design and it took them a year...I pray they worked on their infemous UI and software glithes.
Frankly to me, it looks like the final chapter of motos history....I will wait to see how long they can keep milking the same V3 cow and how long people can buy it.

I think it's supposed to be a play on the word "Riser", as in the screen "rises" up to reveal the keypad. I dunno, but that's my guess lol.
Personally, I never bothered to touch Moto phones after my V2288 (old as brick) 6 yrs ago. I'm still using my 2nd phone, the Nokia 7210 until this day (3.5yrs now lol!).
Will be upgrading to the Sony-Ericsson W810i very very soon and very excited!
RIZR looks good though, I must admit. Not too keen on the features though...

Lucas: I agree 100%, I had a Motorola V551 flip phone, and I could not believe what kind of crap it is. Weak VGA camera, no expansion, bad screen, SSSSSSSSLLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW, Bad bluetooth capabilities. Buttons get stuck. It worked well for like 6 months, and eventually, my antenna dissapeared. I took it to a cell phone specialist and he couldn't find the problem. Now my 5 year old brother is playing "destroy" with it. Only NOKIA, nothing else.

this phone is a joke, motorolla is a joke. i would never im my life buy anything from them. the quality of the features on their phones are pathetic. the camera quality is terrible, the media players suck, the battery life is weak, the preformance is slow, the screens are dull, and all of their phone features are way far behind. motorola phones are for people who want phones that are cheap and think they think have high end technology and that they think look cool. just do yourself a favor and do not buy this piece of crap.
