well i bought this phone 3 days ago , the camerna pic is good , video is very bad, speaker is also very bad , listning in headset is excellent , the phone software is slow this mobile access slowly , this mobile confuses evryone, i would like to advise instead of buy thsi phone u should buy any other nokia but not this this phone really suckx !

Yes i agree with u AV3, abin u choose the wrong device 2 give such opinion ! Look e2 is the most motorola device which has sites about its modding, skining&programing..just visite e2 modders, modmymoto & motohell u will find much many of skins,programs and softwares..that besides russian& chinas sites which i don't know thier languages..

There are a hell lot of themes and customizations to improve camera, sound, speed, etc at modmymoto.com, motomodders.net etc. motorola is famous because of the customiztion you can give to your phone

to bad that the phones interface cannot be replace because there is no avalable theme so i find this phone boring sometimes because the phone do not suit my life style. Motorola should develope phones that is mixed with artistry design and functionality so they will never be left behind.

with fm, mp3, video, cam, at a very reasonable price, the phone rocks!!! a downside though is its battery life... i tried to use fm/mp3 but it shortens span oof battery to 5 hrs. anyone knows a better battery compatible with this unit?tnx! ☺

i exactly have the same problem. my menu folders are gone, xcept for the games. bydway u can access to the phone settings by using the voice menu key located at the side of the phone. however, i already tried master clear but nothing happened. my main menu is still screwed. anybody has a solution to this? they say something like i have to install a new menu tree. i alrdy dowloaded one, but its an mpkg file. how can i install this file? what fw i have to flash so i can use it? im a newbie in flashing, so every help i can get will be really really appreciated. thanx to all. and a happy new year.

i have a problem suddenly all the menus dissappear and i think the only way to do something is to restore settings but i cant get to other menus like settings messages nothing just games someone help

Oh I'm also having the flickering (actually its a blinking) on my e2 display. It just happens during when calling, sending and receiving messages. I set my back light to take off after 5 secs, then the display just get dim, so when I call or send a mssge, the blinking happens. I wonder if it is just happening on every rokr e2? I think it has something to do with the influx of the signal when you start calling or sending a message.

flash it to only u4 firmware and don't use any swab memory and let us see...

Actually I have noticed the flickering. I think they appear when you let the mobile in cold places for a while.

Has anyone of you noticed or experienced a minor flickering on your motorokr e2's display when there's a sudden change in signal strength? That is noticeable with the backlights inactive while the display is still visible. It also happens when your battery is nearly low battery status(also noticeable with the backlights inactive).

What is the model and the output power rating of the charger used in rokr e2? I lost my charger and I just want to be sure I'm getting the right one. As far as I remember it has something on the label indicated as Model: DCH3-blahblah, Input, Output and so on...

I have problem when i was flashing... it always error before finished at about 67%.... It's very jembut nguwil... it's called pejuh ngasu..
Am i have a corrupted firmware ?

Yeah I agree with Ahmed.This phone gives complete value for money.Most people are under wrong impression, they think that only nokia phones will be good

Think of this phone as a platform. If you're into modding it, it presents the most customizable OS out there, being able to replace it completely, adding better CPU freq (thus addressing bat life issues), better optimizing for menues and player performance, SNES emulation, zmplayer, skinneable rockbox, quadband flexing, swap memory, overclocking, volume config. For all of this please visit www.modmymoto.com.
If you're NOT into modding it, you can still buy it and enjoy it, use low bitrate mp3 and videos, OR go for Z6, which it has all the optimizations already (better memory handling, better cpu) but is not as customizable as the E2.

Bought it 7 months ago. Compact. Good thing about it is that it doesn't use the USB for the earphones. Decent photos (only 1.3mp though). Poor video quality. Decent screen size. Cool talking phone feature although I don't really use that. Great joystick (by great I mean it doesn't break down like other phone joysticks). Customizable. Poor battery life. I don't use this phone a lot cause I use another phone but the battery doesn't last a day. I kid you not. When playing music using the default player, it slows the phone down.
Phone's pretty good but design could be better. :)
