Motorola ROKR E6 - user opinions and reviews

Motorola

It should be out everywhere now =). Why did I say that? because basically you could order it from Asia and let them ship it to you haha, since thats how most people do it with world phones =).

If you find this phone at around $400 USD then its a good price, don't get scammed for $450+ USD because it shouldn't cost that high...like most site's $500+ USD is WAY too high =)

Been using the phone for a week or so now, and I must say I LOVE this phone, even after knowing that the iPhone from Apple has just been released (who cares? its a cingular phone haha).

And to answer the SD question, YES ALL microSD/miniSD and normal sized SD cards. Right now I'm using a MMC card and it still works...just gotta have the adapter to it. If you use a micro along with the adapter then it will work as well =).

Although no Edge at all...whats the point of that? The built-in browser isn't as fast, its normal speed, but if you download Opera into the phone, then OMG it is fast, which is what I'm using right now.

Oh well if it doesn't have edge, theres always a way to fix it with Opera =). So don't complain and don't be in pain, for this phone is INSANE!! Great phone!!

It says SD card support, is that for ALL microSD/miniSD and normal sized SD cards? If so, that's awesome.

my jaw dropped when i saw there's no EDGE!!!
motorola seriously dropped the ball again. I cannot believe there still haven't solved their platforming problem(i.e too many different yet similar platforms) I simply cannot believe why this cannot be derived from the v3 maxx platform!!! which is running the juix interface & also has slim dimensions.

the success of razr got to their head, i guess. motorola ur a brilliant innovator!!! but sadly not a very efficient one!!!

In response to mndynasty:

There will be no limit on the length of the recording of videos. You should be able to get around 5 hours packed onto a 2GB memory card.

-what is the sound quality of this phone? is it better or worse or in the same leauge as the walkman series?
-what is the music player of this phone looks like? does it have EQ? Bass Booster? or album art?

In response to Penny's post:

The 8MB User Memory you see is only used for storage space and nothing else. It's not RAM, which is a totally different type of memory.

Given also that it does run on Linux I wouldn't worry about the performance. ;)

i have played with this phone in person...verdict...get the ming a 1200...the only difference is pretty much the headset jack and this thing actually uses SD cards so i guess you can expand to more memory (if it i supported)
I prefer the fact you can protect your screen with a cover with the ming though the e6 is slimmer and pretty much exactly like the slvr with linux

Finally a phone by motorola that looks worthy.
For a high end phone...why no radio or Tv????

So behind on technology in the west.
