Motorola ROKR E6 - user opinions and reviews

Motorola

Yes, these days a phone with no WiFi(Wireless) is waste. People who go for touch screen with PDA feature compulsory perfer wireless. So this is a big disadvantage, even without 3G it would become popular if there is wifi.

yes i love moto, but i'm objectives about "good" and "bad"! So pls if you hate it and love one thing shouldn't be put on this forum. this forum its to exchange info so the prospect buyers and owners could gain technical helps to make purchase or when they stranded with the cell equipment. Anyway back to E6, its an evolution of classic E680/i (I had) look a like(less 2 gaming buttons)that its have been called E6xx with internal of MING's (A1200) which I own, 8 megs int, 2mpix + bussiness card reader, sounds familar for MING's owner??? My only question does it come with 3D speakers?? Pls anybody who have check this E6??? I would buy if the 3D as good as E1000, E1 rokr or E398. Maybe buy if sounds like E680/i. But definetely don't buy if the internal speakers like E2!!!

lacks lots of things.
1. no flash for camera
2. no WiFi
3. no gaming buttons whn compared to E680i
4. phone memory is 8MB(razr v3i=12Mb)
5. not 3G
6. no EDGE facility
If the above features were present, this would have been an awesome phone.

The UI is certainly better than v3/L7/k1. But if only there is WiFi or 3G, then this phone is good. The barcode scanning function is to decode 1D or 2D barcodes. Like Japan Docomo phones can make payment at supermarket by scanning the barcode and it will charge it to the monthly phone bills.
Awesome! Linux based OS... Wonder how It'll work with Windows Vista and XP... I expect It'll work better with Mac OSX since it's Unix based as well as Red Hat also.
please not for all purposes this is a java bassed operating system. Its just running a basic *linux kernel to load its Java software. It will not be favoured to any other operating system more so because of this.

As far as its Geek factor is concerned, id support it, as they support linux ;) and time will only tell how maluable the hardware is as fas as running geek land linux tools :P Which would be unreal. but highly unlikely.

Have any other of the older Linux bassed motorolla handsets had any extensive porting achieved on them?
