Awesome! Linux based OS... Wonder how It'll work with Windows Vista and XP... I expect It'll work better with Mac OSX since it's Unix based as well as Red Hat also. Wish I'd seen this phone earlier. It looks kinda nice. I rather liked the V3 black. Although it looks boring now, It's nice to see Motorola coming back with new-ish ideas.
Although the PDA design has been round for quite a while though, I'm thinking that this is maybe Motorola's first real attempt at conquering the PDA market.
Also, going back to the OS - another thing I just thought of is the possibilities with regards to open-source code and apps.
This should be pretty cool.

@ Steven
Oh pardon for my poor english then...Anyway I do not feel ashamed of that as my mother tongue is not english feel free to relate me to crap phones or insult me anyway it will only make me look down on you. If you feel this phone is a crap, then sell it. Anyway and don't post comments like it is outdated technology where you never even mention what this phone is backdated or lack in performances. By the way seriously do you own this phone before?? I had mentioned before this phone lacks EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi and low internal memory which people should consider buying or not. Anyway I own SE k800i, which i used for camera or calls only. Who cares about using a crap small screen to surf and email when I can carry my fujitsu centrino duo core to surf at any wifi areas.

You guys need something so extremely perfect more than yourself, nothing is perfect in this world. Just stop trowing bad stories about Moto. The Moto ROKR E6 is the best I'm on the way to buy it.

@ NOKIA FAN
I guess opinions and reviews are getting pointless and useless when such shambolic people making laughable comments. You use E6 before? U try on the linux OS and do a telnet before? U use it to view pdf and microsoft words before?
I rather hear people comment that this phone does not support EDGE, 3G or with low internal memory sucks rather making comments like another crap phone. Of cos I tested this phone before as is my job anyway and later linux version is having problems that is why they are releasing based on A1200 software. Personally, I prefer SE phones no doubt about it as I own K800i the problem is only the menu lags but I had enough with Nokia as my bad experience with 6260 is enough. N-series? Fix the bug before releasing them. You need evidences I can name a lot like my aunt N70 needs a software upgrade in order for her call applications to work, my friend N70 needs to change a mother board, my uncle N73 of 3 days cannot even save a newly captured picture to the gallery. These are basic functionality and bugs that need to be solved before they can release them to face the world. By the way need any receipts to support my claims??

@ stone cold
I guess is he just another empty brain cell or got cheated by Motorola when he bought v3 when it initially launched at a high price. I wonder does he know symbian, linux or windows mobile. Those OS of Motorola phones which are so called crayon drawings are on P2K platform and for 2007 those low end phones will carry on with that platform. Future phones for Motorola will be in linux or windows mobile(Moto Q pro). To be honest the OS for v3/L7 sucks in terms of the UI looks, but that does not mean only gays carrying that phones.

i bought a moto long time back and still regret wasting money and time on it

Finally Motorola have strayed (albeit one or two steps) away from the RAZR design and come up with a different look.
Contrary to certain "Moto-hater's" beliefs, this is actually a decent attempt at the pocket pc approach blended with the media functionality of the ROKR range.
Of course they have sacrificed much (as is standard with Motorola), opting out on wifi and an unfortunate screen size.
But dang is it an awesome design. Shadows of the RAZR can be seen in its laser etched front pad. And the media buttons on the side are a delightful but also subtle touch.
Having not used this phone myself I can't say much about its Linux-based OS. But if the E6 can take PocketPC aps then we might have a winner here. The inclusion of MS Office apps and PDF reader is a clever one for the business minded.
And what would a ROKR be without its media functions? 3.5mm jack? You got it. A2DP? Yeah baby! Motorola will no doubt release a new style of Bluetooth headphones for this so I'd keep an eye out.
Overall this is a brilliant standalone phone. With something to suit a wide range of users. The battery life on talktime (7 hours) is more than you'd expect from a pocketpc.
Kudos to Motorola for finally branching away from the tired RAZR series. If the E6 is any indication then the future of the ROKR series will be an exciting one.
Target audience - the casual office-worker with a love for music.

This fone is GREAT..... I got it few months ago and it is so cool. I think I will give it to my great great grandmom to use it. I shall keep my NOKIA 3310.
The NOKIA 3310 is SUPERB. This ROKR cannot even come close to beating the 3310. I love 3310....so simple...
