Finally Motorola have strayed (albeit one or two steps) away from the RAZR design and come up with a different look.
Contrary to certain "Moto-hater's" beliefs, this is actually a decent attempt at the pocket pc approach blended with the media functionality of the ROKR range.
Of course they have sacrificed much (as is standard with Motorola), opting out on wifi and an unfortunate screen size.
But dang is it an awesome design. Shadows of the RAZR can be seen in its laser etched front pad. And the media buttons on the side are a delightful but also subtle touch.
Having not used this phone myself I can't say much about its Linux-based OS. But if the E6 can take PocketPC aps then we might have a winner here. The inclusion of MS Office apps and PDF reader is a clever one for the business minded.
And what would a ROKR be without its media functions? 3.5mm jack? You got it. A2DP? Yeah baby! Motorola will no doubt release a new style of Bluetooth headphones for this so I'd keep an eye out.
Overall this is a brilliant standalone phone. With something to suit a wide range of users. The battery life on talktime (7 hours) is more than you'd expect from a pocketpc.
Kudos to Motorola for finally branching away from the tired RAZR series. If the E6 is any indication then the future of the ROKR series will be an exciting one.
Target audience - the casual office-worker with a love for music.

This fone is GREAT..... I got it few months ago and it is so cool. I think I will give it to my great great grandmom to use it. I shall keep my NOKIA 3310.
The NOKIA 3310 is SUPERB. This ROKR cannot even come close to beating the 3310. I love 3310....so simple...

Why, Mototrola, why only for China?!!! Don't forget the rest of the world!! ROKR E6 + HSDPA&WiFi would be the best.

hurmm.. neat design by motorola..
wayyy nicer than E2..
this phone is similar to SE W950i
plus camera minus 3G..
hopes for any future phone manufacturers:
dont waste any space for the screen, look at E6, too much space for the speakers.. adjust it a lil bit..
dont make it too thick or too thin.. look at n80, it's fat.. 10mm - 20mm is the best..
thats it.
