thanks again!
what is the sound like on this phone? i have the e680i and its got quite good speakers, any1 know what this phone sounds like?
i like tis style BUT it's not 3G phone ...such a pity if not i will buy it
Thank you very much Penny.I think I am now going to buy one
If it retains it's same operating style as its predecessor the E680i, then yes you are able to cut, copy & paste. After you have selected the text, just click the screen with the stylus, maintain the stylus point on the screen until this flower symbol comes out, then there will be a drop down menu. Usually for text, you have cut, copy, paste, select all, delete etc.
If you try it elsewhere, like say at a normal menu, then the drop down menu will be slightly different, with Properties, Rename etc.
Hope that helps, car-mon!
Inferno, the post a few down from yours already stated that her Motorola phone has up to 50 MB phone memory..its the e680I. Go check it out! What are you talking abt? LOL

the bad thing about motorollas is that they have no internal MEMMORY!
Hello, Can someone please tell me if this phone has a on screen key board? Can I copy and past from emails to the notes program?
Oh yeah, also forgot to mention this..but is that "music note" button wrong somehow? Why is it inverted?? I've seen a couple of other images that has that same sport reserved by a "world" icon, for web-browsing, probably..
But which is it?! For music or web-browsing?!
I'm so excited for this phone! I've had a Moto E680i for almost 2 years now & it's been the best. It's delivered my media & games, while still doing well on its basic functions as a phone. So when I hv the $$$ & really ready to upgrade from e680i, I'm getting the E6. These are the improvements I'm excited about!
Cam - It's been upgraded! Not by much, but judging from my e680i's VGA Cam, this 2 megapixel should be the good kind. Most ppl would say, it's still a 2 megapixel, but usually its the other things like programming & tweaking that can even make a 2mp quality pic better than a 3mp. Like the exposure, color saturation, reactivity to light or degree of sharpness that's programmed into the phone. I'm hopeful for this.
Screen - I love the e680i's ability to play movies & its kept me sane for many boring train/bus rides, but a problem is that the screen was awful in daylight. 65k is too dim, so hopefully with a 256k it would be better. 16 million now, that would be awesome!
3.5mm Jack - Brilliant & practical move. I love being able to plug my OWN earbuds & headphones & just enjoy my music & movies. No offence, but sometimes those supplied earphones are just not comfy or gd enough. :( Plus giving users more options is always a good thing - makes sure the product stays relevant!
Built - It's thinner & lighter than the e680i. It wasnt really a problem before, but thinner & lighter is always good. The buttons hv also made the switch to the RAZR style etched keypad. This is wonderful since the metal plating on the raised buttons of my e680i started chipping off within months! So, this way, it would preserve its looks a little better. :) And from the promo shots, the phone looks sturdy & so hot! The new media buttons along the side, they look liked they were etched out of stone. Nice.
Some Complaints:
Memory: What happened to the 50mb built in memory like for the e680i? I think that was so vital in avoiding any hanging & maintaining a gd operating speed. I think the reason my e680i has not hanged since beginning because it was working on so much space. Not jostling on a measly 8mb RAM! Will it work just as smoothly on just 8mb? I dunno..and it worries me. If its draggy, I might not even get the e6 at all. Whats the use of having so many good features, when it takes forever or gets stucked all the time, right? >:(
For the person lower down who asked abt miniSD cards not being able to work on this, they do work. I have an SD card that works on my e680i, it just slots into an adapter card that then fits into the phone like a regular SD card. I think you should get that adapter everytime you buy a miniSD card.
WiFi: How come no Wifi? This is the best way to ensure that this one phone stays relevant, outside of just being a phone. I would love to be able to sit at a enabled spot & surf, check email or movietimes..but its just not possible on this phone. It actually kinda sucks & brings its appeal down.
Not sure if anyone from Motorola is reading this, but its genuine concerns I have. I've loved the reliability of my e680i, it would be awesome if you could match that, and still deliver some more improvements.
hey qc,
thanks!
was there a couple of days ago but didn't see it. i saw a dummy phone for the ming instead but peeps there said it's currently outta stock. anyway, i'm eyeing the razr maxx right now. would you have any idea of how much these phones are? would really appreciate it!
thanks again!
i like this phone very much... but, unfortunately, it does not support 3G settings and WLAN...
carlito, yes we already have one in greenhills.. :) i love motophone pare! :) -qc
3.5mm standard earphone jack, Radio and good MP3 player is the ONLY things I like in Moto phones. No other phone has a 3.5mm jack except hi-end Nokia which cost a bomb!
the colour is very nice the battery is very nice the buttons are very nice the screen is very nice the stylus is quite bad the charger is quite bad the feeling inside of me is average about this phone ok?
