Motorola ROKR E6 - user opinions and reviews

Motorola

Yes the E6 does play videos (Not only the ones u recorded with the phone camera). It comes with a program to convert whatever video format to .rm. It's pretty conveninent, I have watched Naruto and Bleach on it and it is great.

A question: I read that E6 supports iTune, is that true? I have an E6 but they dun menstion it on the manual....

@ roker style

Thanks for the reply dude, but I just want to make sure that the video you speaking about in your last message is not a video taken by the camera transfered to a pc then transfered again to the rokr. Just to have better clairity, does the Motorola Rokr e6 allow viewing of videos that are downloaded from the net? example google, yahoo, etc?

If it does, that would be totaly sweet!!!...

To DB

The E6 is thinner, faster, and better than the ming. The flip option doesn't seem that great with the MING. Being an owner of both I personally think the E6 is alot better cuz

1. Improved 2MP camera
2. Thinner
3. Call volume is better
4. Battery life on my E6 is better than my MING
5. SD card capability

I can pass of my E6 as a MP3 or a PDA or a Camera when I'm at university because my university for some reason don't like cell phones in class.

E6>MING

MING is good but I got bored.

Hey guys, I heard that you can use a 4GB SGHC card in the E6 as long as it has been formated. Is this true? Check out Hi-mobile.net, they have it selling with a 4GB card for an extra $90. If it is SDHC what is stopping us from putting in the new 8GB SDHC cards? If anyone has successfuly one this please tell us how. Thanks a mill!

@Sammir

Yes the phone can get online and things like that. No, it doesn't have WLAN or Wifi...who needs them anyways haha. There is a rumor that theres an EDGE mod going around...I've got to look into that and see if I could increase the speed of my internet on the E6, but the GRPS isn't that bad =) it serves its on purpose, its not slow either.

It's nice that this phone is Tri-Band, I've ordered it and it is coming Quad-Band, I am happy. This phone is nice, but I love my MING it's so awesome. The flip is what sets it in a class of it's own. E6 is basically a MING without the flip. The E6 could flop here if they go and release it with it's number, same goes for the MING.

I'd buy a ROKR E6 over an E690 or a MING (Maybe SLIM will be used here?) over an A1200.

@ Sammir

Yes you can transfer videos from your comp. to your phone. If you have a large enough SD card you are also able to watch movies in landscape and portrait mode. Cool huh?!

I am wanting to buy this phone, but I would like to know if the Motoroker e6 supports video files, (NOT) videos you record with the video recorder in the phone, but rather videos that you transfer from your computer to the phone?

Since I'm a sales manager for a cell phone store, I just ordered it straight from my wholesaler =). Just go to a GSM phone store and ask them about this phone. Chances are, they would have this phone.

This phone is basically out everywhere. Notice how some phones are released in China, but a few days later people around the whole world can use them. The reason? Because authorized dealers that have phone stores have the connections to order phone from different places, so no matter where you are, you can always get the lastest phones, given that your country has a certain band selection that the phone offers.

Hope this clears it up to anyone who wonders if this phone is avaliable near them =)

I finally figured out how to upgrade it to Quad band... I havent lost any bars yet. Great signal. Thanks for giving me that website info!

And yes it has talking phone features. im not sure what its supposed to do, but it reads out my contacts and messages and menu options, its kind of annoying to me, so i have it turned off, but if thats something you like, then its got it.

Beautiful phone, I cant play with it enough!!

nobody seems to know if this phone has the talking phone function..i think that's a better feature to talk about because having a message reader on the phone is more cool than having a high megapixel camera...

i guess il wait for the nokia 6290....

@Dawn
No, nothing is wrong with your phone. All you have to do is change the network to the U.S. =), Try tapping on the battery picture, and then on Current Network wat does it say? Did you turn the Antenna ON? And I think it is because you are in a HIGH 850 zone, so therefore I recommened SEEM editing the phone right away at http://www.motorolafans.com so you could pick up signal!

The phone is great, so I suggest you ask for help right away haha and start using this masterpiece

Ok, it was me that asked the question about cingular. Sorry forgot to enter my name. :) So I got the phone today in the mail. and its GORGEOUS, and wonderful, great pictures, great video, sound everything... but completely useless to me right now... Im so sad about it. I put in my sim card, and all my phone book numbers are in there, and it recognizes that its my number, but it says theres no network available, and wont let me call out. Is this a defect with just my phone? Or is there something I need to do to it before it works in the US? It was from Japan I guess cause I had to change the menu to english when I got it. Tons of fun trying to find the language setting...
Well now that I have written a novel... PLEASE HELP! haha
:) thanks.
