and yes you're right. its not so loud compare to xpressmusic phone that's why even when you put this phone in your ear at the max volume its so clear and great to hear.
i dont need to buy memory card because it has an internal memory of 2gb. i put so many songs and stuff. and the max messages saved is more than a thousand messages in my inbox!
buy this and you won't regret it!!

If i ignore the odd placement of menu items (for instance,
MotoMusic features twice, under 'MotoMusic', and under
'Multimedia'!), and the general lack of thoroughness in the
organisation of it's menu items, i find that it's a very
intuitive handset for use during calls, and messaging.
Internet speed is maddeningly slow, and does psompt me
to ignore the service most of the time.'
The camera's not the best.
and the fussy /delicate covers for the charging bay, and
the headset jack. Worse, the charging bay without the cover
looks downright messy.
But despite it all, it's a phone that feels great in the hand,
to look at, to consider the design process behind it_truly
innovative, truly future cool.
For the serious, modern, forward looking, business
/work user, it's the best i've come across.

Good to see that a lot more people are starting to appreciate the phone...
to my fellow veteran E8 users, I know this is silly for me to ask, but is a new original firmware out? What is the latest firmware anyway and how can I check it on my phone?

Moto rokr e8 have a stylish and touch scroll keypad which i like very much, dis is an unbelieveable feature of dis set and internal memory of 2gb is also a very good feature.

But then looking at Contacts / options / setup / capacity, it shows a max of 200. On my E8 I set the phone to store contacts both on the sim and in the phone.

I use an 8 Gb microsd card, so total memory is 10 Gb. Fantastic music phone, I use it with sony bluetooth stereo h/set. Super solid construction - it just doesn't flex or creak - it feels like it is hewn from a solid block, despite being only 1cm thick. The "force feedback" on the keys is amazing, as is the way the key display changes for phone/camera/music player. Only gripe is keyboard lock/power button is fiddly when using for key lock. Not a great camera (no flash) but adequate for the job. Who needs an iPlayer !?

ever since 2005 l have bn a motorola fans especially ROKR E8. the appearance is killing i.e too good

Nokia Xpress Music Series are loud but the music quality is bad. Motorola Rokr lineups sound not too loud but the quality is awesome.
This phone can save more than 3000 messages. I think it's unlimited. But I'm not sure as I haven't tested it yet.
