Motorola ROKR E8 and ROKR E7 pop up

Tags: Motorola

Photos of two highly interesting handsets leaked today - the unannounced Motorola ROKR E7 and ROKR E8. The ROKR series traditionally includes music-oriented handsets and obviously these two will not stray away from the pack either.

The Motorola ROKR E8 is an ultra thin bar shaped handset with Java/Linux-based interface. So far specs are really far from detailed but as far as a Chinese website conveys it we should expect 2GB of integrated memory and a microSD memory card slot. It also has a 2 megapixel camera (no auto focus, sorry!) and loads of touch-sensitive keys. As usual for Motorola a miniUSB port is also available. As a true music handset it also comes with a standard 3.5 mm audio jack.

The keypad is entirely touch-sensitive but for every key there is a small bud which helps tactile orientation. Sounds interesting, enough, we would say - looking forward to hearing more details from Motorola themselves.

The Motorola ROKR E7 is the other leaked device, which doesn't seem as real as the E8, though - so bear in mind that it just might turn out a hoax. The expected specs are way pumped up - touch-screen TFT display with a VGA resolution, a 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and xenon flash, GoForce 5500 graphics accelerator, GPS, Wi-Fi and 2GB of internal memory, just to mention a few. And all that is packed into a body standing at only 14 mm thickness. Well, looking at it sounds more of a fat lie if you ask us. Never mind, take a look at this baby.

Motorola has proven its worth from all these years... compared to the insensible upgrading features of Nokia and fast depreciation Motorola will sure stand out... not unless u want a flashy phone for show purposes
